This article deals with Central Asia as it relates to NationStates. For more general information, see the Wikipedia article on this subject.

Central Asia is a largely landlocked region of Asia, although its westernmost nation, Espandorra, borders the Black Sea. Historically, the region has served as a crossroads for goods, people and ideas between Europe, the Middle East, South Asia and East Asia and is considered part of Eurasia.

The nations of Central Asia are a diverse conglomeration of nations reflecting influences from every direction. Most of them are relatively small, developing nations and many are historically Muslim. Other religions included within the region are Christianity and Judaism.
