The governing council of Yerbabuena. The seven deputies are elected, one from each province. They are responsible for legislation affecting the whole of the country as well as approving diplomatic overtures and overseeing the annual budget. The Governor-General presides over the meetings of the Chamber and sets the agenda for each meeting, but has no vote on matters decided by the Chamber. The Governor-General does have executive power; he is responsible for carrying out the Chamber's will. A weak Governor-General tends to become little more than an agent of the Chamber, whereas a strong one, such as Thelonious M!pxi, can gradually coerce the Chamber into following his lead.
