The Charter of Inheritance, 1013 was a document prepared by a council of nobles establishing their authority to decide the successor to Queen-Regent Maldren (d. 1013), the queen-consort of the first King of Isselmere and Anguist and regent or high queen of the two kingdoms from 1008. The document itself was drafted by the Abbot of Saint-Silvester-on-the-Hill in accordance with the wishes of the Earls' Council and validated by the Bishop of Isling — two of the few literate members of court — on 12 July, 1013.
