Chicos Perdidos was founded in the prime of the Holy Roman Empire following the treaty of Westphalia and the Thirty Years War (1618-48)in 1648. Originally a tiny state which grew progressively and rapidly over the next 350 years. It is made up of 25 Provinzen (Provinces) each containing 4 Bezirke (Districts), and 18 major Städte (Cities). The Bundesregierung the 3 branches of Government, are housed in the Capital City, Santo Virtus or "Saint Justice". The economy is extremely powerful and has grown frighteningly quickly which is unparalelled anywhere else. The majority of business is Govnerment owned and funded, however there is a powerhouse of a Privater Sektor. Led by Uranium Mining and Arms Manufacture, as well as Automobile Production. Feauturing such sprawling national companies such as Lebensmotoren PLC, Draco Bergbau Korps, Die Speer Gruppe and CPT. This massive sector helps fund political activity in the higher echelons of the Bundesregierung and elections. Flags and Symbols

Flag1.jpg The Flag of Chicos Perdidos

Th Flag of Chicos Perdidos originated in the early 19th century around the formation of the NCP or the Nationalist Conservative Party. The blue background symbolises the Party colour and traditional theme of Nationalism and Conservatism, the black cross however is a protrayl of the Iron Cross, a variation of the Maltese Cross which symbolised the first Christian Warriors in the first crusades against the creation of Islam. This also signified the Templar Knights and the quest for the Holy Grail as well as a Germanic Military award. The use of this cross demonstrates the emphasis on Protestant Christianity and its strong grip in Chicos Perdidos, the Church of Chicos Perdidos remains a sacred institution.

National Motto

"Pro Palma, Pro Vox, Pro Inifinto Chicos Perdidos!!" ("For Glory, For Power, For Eternity Chicos Perdidos!!")

This refers to the glorious days of empire and conquest and the historic prestige of Chicos Perdidos on the world stage. The phrase was coined by the first Perdonian Emperor and first in the Rodriguez family Juan I, when he began his march towards an expansive empire in the Germanic lands of Europe. Being the militaristic state it is, the phrase held on till the present day, reflecting the fierce patriotism inherent in the nation.

National Anthem

"Lied der Perdonians" composed by Joseph Haydn in 1797. The lyrics were written by August Heinrich Hoffmann von Fallersleben in 1841, (adopted by Chicos Perdidos in 1895) [[1]]

Lied der Perdonians was written in the late 19th Century following the coronation of Carlos Rodriguez II as Holy Emperor of Chicos Perdidos. The Rodriguez family enjoyed perhaps their greatest century following Carlos' coronation in 1895. Their empire was at its peak until The Spanish Kingdom Conflict in the early 20th Century. Upon his coronation, the royal family called for the creation of a national anthem, a piece of inspiring music to symbolise the pride and glorious heritage of Chicos Perdidos. The piece written by Joseph Haydn was adopted by Chicos Perdidos seen as a great piece of music from the Holy Roman Empire during the reign of Francis II, (though now independent from the Empire, Chicos Perdidos had ended hostilities in the Santo Virtus Treaty in 1750 following almost 100 years of tension). Perdonians were still very proud of their Germanic heritage. The Poem Das Lied der Deutschen by von Fallersleben, was granted to the mixed Hispanic/Germanic nation, incorporated as the lyrics and altered to ''Das Lied der Perdonians''. Chicos Perdidos being formerly a monarchy of the German lands.

"Der Königgrätzer Marsch" composed by Johann Gottfried Piefke (adopted by Chicos Perdidos mid 19th Century). [[2]]

Der Königgrätzer Marsch is the key Marching anthem of the Perdonian army used following the climactic battle of Königgrätze during the Austro- Prussian war in 1866, by Prussian composer Johann Gottfried Piefke. A battle witnessed and experienced by some of Perdonian military during the 19th Century around the Bohemian region. Chicos Perdidos was not an official combatant instead concentrated on building their own empire but developing trade links with German states over the period. The music spread into the Perdonian military over this perdiod due to growing relations with the Prussian military. Der Königgrätzer Marsch is a very symbolic theme in Chicos Perdidos, being played at nearly all military marches and a very popular tune amongst the many specialist organisations including the burgeoning NCP Military branch.

Lyrics to the National Anthem:

1. Perdonia, Perdonia über alles,

Über alles in der Welt,

Wenn es stets zum Schutz und Trutze

Brüderlich zusammenhält.

Von der Maas bis an die Memel,

Von der Etsch bis an den Belt -

Perdonia, Perdonia über alles,

Über alles in der Welt!

Perdonia, Perdonia über alles,

Über alles in der Welt!

2. Perdonian Frauen, Perdonian Treue,

Perdonian Wein und Perdonian Sang

Sollen in der Welt behalten

Ihren alten schönen Klang,

Uns zu edler Tat begeistern

Unser ganzes Leben lang -

Perdonian Frauen, Perdonian Treue,

Perdonia Wein und Perdonia Sang!

Perdonian Frauen, Perdonian Treue,

Perdonia Wein und Perdonia Sang!

  • 3. Einigkeit und Recht und Freiheit

Für das Perdonian Vaterland -

Danach lasst uns alle streben

Brüderlich mit Herz und Hand!

Einigkeit und Recht und Freiheit

Sind des Glückes Unterpfand.

Blüh' im Glanze dieses Glückes,

Blühe, Perdonian Vaterland!

Blüh' im Glanze dieses Glückes,

Blühe, Perdonian Vaterland!

History of Los Chicos Perdidos

Years Pre 1655 Formation

The Nation of Chicos Perdidos was formed on the 25th August 1655. Before this monumental day in its history it existed as a small Germanic State of Wallstein. A principality and minor monarchy during the height of the Holy Roman Empire, frequented by Emperor Charles the 1 during his many retreats to Germany away from his duties in the royal court in Madrid as King Charles V of Spain. During this time there was a large influx of Spanish emigrants during the 16th Century, largely escaping the brutality and pervasiveness of the Spanish Inquisition launching the Coutner Reformation in Europe. Indeed, by the outbreak of the Thirty Years War in 1618, Wallstein was almost a dual nationality state. With a huge Spanish community. This community soon began practicing the new Protestant fatihs spreading around Northern Europe and abandoning their Catholic roots. This led to the mass persecution of the populace by imperial forces during the 1630s and thousands of deaths. The usurption of Imperial forces in 1639, was led by a Spanish General and largely Germanic army, on Juan Roberto Rodriguez, the great grandfather of Carlos Rodriguez I. Juan installed himself as Ruler of a new Kingdom in 1655. The Kingdom of Chicos Perdidos (Lost Boys, signifying the large amount of Spanish immigrants lost from the their true lands of origin, the Spanish Kingdoms of Castille and Aragon) was born and the Rodriguez dynasty just beginning and would last until the early 21st Century.

Holy War and the Golden Age of Empire

The early years of Chicos Perdidos were somewhat of a baptism of fire for the small, developing Germanic/Spanish state. For half a century its history was dominated by religious warfare. The Reformation of the 16th and 17th Centuries had taken a strong grip upon the people of Chicos Perdidos, Calvinism and Lutheranism were common spectacles in the area. Catholicism experienced a large antipathy all over Europe. However, the Pope and the Church were not going to relequish its grip so easily in the Germanic lands. For 50 years Religious Orders such as the Blue Saviours and the Order of Miracles waged holy war on the new forms of Protestantism. By the turn of the 18th Century Protestants and Catholics were being put to wholsale slaughter. Seeing his new born crumbling within half a century of its conception, King Juan Rodriguez launched his royal army over Chicos Perdidos and rounded up rebels having them executed. Then in the 1705 Decree King Juan, announced a complete outlaw of both Catholicism and the Reformation style Protestantism, ignoring veiled threats from the Vatican he proceeded to form the Official Church of Chicos Perdidos of which he protected. The Holy Empire of Chicos Perdidos was conceived.
