Western Province is located near Thuvia in the Community of Sober Thought. It may be renamed Cholm or Cholmestay. At 10.1% of the national population, it has the fourth largest number of residents in the country. English is its official language, but French has some protection in the most rural municipality.
It has twin metropoleis, as yet unnamed but each with ~3% of the national population. The other four chartered municipalities in the province are all styled counties: Krasna 0.8%, Bela 0.6%, Cerna 0.5% and Pontloué 0.5%.
Western Province is religiously, socially and political conservative.
Defence
The Western Civil Guard is prepared to meet the needs of both the provincial government in times of natural disaster and the federal government in times of national crisis. Each wave of 100 million in national population, it raises the following number of battalions from these respective regiments:
- one [Western] Horse, armoured, to the 5 series divisions of armoured infantry
- one [Western] Mounted Rifles, armoured infantry, to the 5 series of division
- one [Western] Rangers, mountain infantry, to the 7 series divisions of mountain infantry
- one [Calgary] Light Infantry, to the 6 series divisions of light infantry
- one [Edmonton] Light Infantry, to the 6 series division of light infantry
- four (railway, civil and maintenance) [Western] Engineers, to the third corps
- one [Western] Supply Regiment, to the 7 series division
It also raises headqaurters companies for three demi-brigades or brigades.
For provincial service, there are regional commands for the capital, the metropolis, each of the four counties' districts. For federal service, the 1st [Western] brigade serves with 5 Armoured Infantry Division, 2nd Engineering Brigade with III Corps, 3rd Light Infantry with 6 Light Infantry Division, etc.
