Citizenship (Latao)

This article describes how foreigners may receive the blue passport with the eternal tower of the curia – the citizenship of the Confederacy of Latao.

General

The Latin citizenship can not be requested, it is given. A limited number is frequently being available to buy in an auction. The starting price usually is $100.000 that must be paid in cash.

Requirements

Appliers must meet the following conditions:

1. Must not have any criminal records in Latao and the country of origin
2. Must reside legally in Latao for at least 10 years
3. Must have an unlimited working contract (or run own business)
4. Must pass a test on language and culture of the country, which incl. political education

Option 1

Option 1: Receiving your citizenship from an auction

Citizenship auctions are not held every year, but every two-three years. The number of ‘blue cards’ given out is limited, usually to 1000.

People who are interested in receiving their citizenship this way must register with the Federal Department of Migration & Citizenship per the date specified which 30 days before the auction is. For the registration process, certificates of the above requirements are needed to submit with your registration.

If everything is ok, the applicant will be authorized to participate with the auction. The applicant is allowed to collect money from other holders of the Latin citizenship.

Option 2

Option 2: Receiving the citizenship

People may receive the Latin citizenship for appreciation of their outrageous value to the nation of Latao.

In that case, people of the local municipality may recommend someone who should receive the Latin passport. The municipality then submits this recommendation to the District, which proofs the requirements specified above. If everything is ok, the candidate’s dossier will be submitted to the Federal Department of Migration & Citizenship where the final decision is made.

Receiving the Latin citizenship via this (regular) way does not cost any fees. The candidate is however invited to travel to the capital city of Luciara and introduce himself to the parliamentary commission for Citizenship, which might increase his chances

Be aware, that in case of criminal activities, that lead to a prison-penalty of more than 12 months under Latin law or should be detected, that information was wrong (such as fake companies) the right of citizenship can be removed.
