Colwyn

Colwyn is a city in the province of Noua Cymru, Kelssek. Located on the coast of the Pacific Ocean approximately 300km north of Neorvins, the city is a major seaport. In addition to serving as a port of call and transhipment point for cargo container vessels, it is the largest fishing port in Kelssek and is a centre for the fisheries industry. Fisheries and its secondary industries such as processing and canning of seafood dominate the city's economy. The corporate headquarters of the Eastern Seafood Cooperative are located in Colwyn. Colywn's population is 2,945,833 (2004 census).

Colwyn is also known as the birthplace of Bryan Kilging, a pioneer in the labour movement who helped found the Trades Union Congress and was the 6th President of Kelssek from 1934 to 1944.

Education and culture

The University of Southern Noua Cymru (USNC) is located in Colwyn. The Noua Cymru Marine Biology Institute, a leading research institution affiliated with the University of Noua Cymru system is also located in the city.

Transportation

The Colwyn International Airport sees mainline service by most of Kelssek's major airlines. Colwyn is also linked by rail to both Neorvins and Kirkenes, and is served by KN Rail and the Kelssek Pacific Railway. It will be included in the first phase of the KHRS high-speed railway system, which is expected to be ready by 2009.
