The Commonwealth Labour Organization is a specialized agency of the Commonwealth of Peoples designed to deal with labour issues. It operates under the authority of the Commonwealth Commission but not of any specific secretariat thereof. Its headquarters are in New Amsterdam, Laneria.

The purpose of the Organization is to promote the rights of workers, including, but not limited to, the right to organize and engage in collective bargaining; the right to equal pay for equal work regardless of race, creed or sex; the right to freely choose employment; the right to the reasonable limitation of working hours, meal breaks and periodic holidays with pay; the right to remuneration for labour; the right, within reason, to make personal, family and political decisions independently of the will of one's employer; the right to reasonable privacy outside of work; the right to reasonable accomodation of family obligations; the right to reasonable accomodation of a physical or mental disability; the right to reasonable accomodation for the requirements of religion or other matters of conscience; and the right to reasonably safe working conditions.

The primary function of the CLO is to establish guidelines for legislative and business practices in the area of worker rights, to research and report on the actual conditions of workers within the various Commonwealth member states and to press for the enforcement of existing regulations as needed. These guidelines are not necessarily mandatory.
