2 May, 1729

I may oppose Adrian Laroux's ideas, his beliefs, and his Equality. I may object to his Premiership. But above all those things I am a Sicinian. I am proud of my country, and I would gladly give my life in the defense of my motherland. So I ask that Akaeia and Mernidok do not invade my motherland to put me in power, for if they do I shall be obliged to fight them with every ounce of my strength. If avoiding war means renouncing my claim on the Premiership, I will do so. But I could not imagine living as a leader put in place through the invasion of my home. Any quarrels I have with Adrian Laroux remain as clear as ever, but if a single foreign soldier steps across the border with the intent of placing me on a throne of the bodies of my countrymen, I will gladly join hands with my opponent Laroux in the repulse of a greater enemy.
