Martin du Mont Remy

The family of Mont Remy, the d'Pessiers, have long been famous as fine knights and generals. One has to only look back in history to find a d'Pessier either leading a Sicinian army or among its top staff. Martin has made his family proud. General of the 1st Shock Army during the Panselle War, he sacrificed himself and his soldiers to hold off the Akaeian Army's advance to Saint Michele, giving the 2nd and 3rd Shock Armies time to fortify the ridge at Marbicourt. Martin spent the rest of the war a prisoner for Akaeia, and after the victory at Marbicourt his heroics were forgotten.

The Comte could care less. A simple soldier with little ambition and stolid loyalty, he preferred his peaceful life in Mont Remy to court intrigue. A strong supporter of the king, he lost his County to the rebels before the battle of Bas-Armand. Respected by his foes for his unwavering bravery he was pardoned and allowed to rule in County Remy once more, where he lives quietly with his wife, three children, and eight grandchildren.
