Confederal royalty

Confederal royalty refers to the members of the royal and imperial families of the thirty-eight Confederal Members within the Confederated Peoples of the Resurgent Dream who practice a form of constitutional monarchy. This includes members of the Danaan royal family, members of the reigning royal families of Hipolis and Finara, members of the imperial family in Nabarro Abarca predating the election of the High King of Dana to the office of Emperor of that Confederal Member, Prince Hermann of Marlund (who abdicated in favor of the High King of Dana) and descendants of the Emperors of Adoki through the female line (the male line being extinct). Unofficially, it also includes descendants of the royal house of Kīlauea, although they are not officially recognized as royalty by the government of Kīlauea and therefore are not officially recognized as such by the Confederal Government. There is no official monarch of the Resurgent Dream as such although the High King of Dana holds the office of Head of the Commonwealth and in some specialized circumstances, especially in relation to foreign dynasties, serves as a de facto Confederal monarch.
