The Conservative Party was founded in 1799 by the 2nd President of Eagmont, Raymond Freeman. The party today stands for clear cut conservatism, with dashes of libertarianism and a small, yet selective, liberal group of conservative polititcians.
The Conservative Party is currently lead by the conservative President John Key from Oban.

History of the Conservative Party
The History of the Conservative Party is illustrious, to say the least. On its formation in 1799, the party has always had a strong base in the northern states, where the rich and affluent usually live. The Conservatives have held a majority in the North for a long time, only loosing that majority once in 1964.
Stances on issues
Economy
- Economic regulation: Mininal government interference, follows Laissez-faire model. Leaves the Treasury department to the Economic handling.
- Income tax: Flat rate, medium percentage.
- Unemployment rate: Concentrated effort to encorage tourism in order to create jobs and bring in money.
Social issues
- Abortion: Oppose
- Death penalty: Support
- Euthanasia: About 60% of Conservative Party members support Euthanasia.
- Gay marriage: Oppose, although 30% of members in the house and 10 senators voted for the Civil Marriage bill.
- Drugs – All forms illegal apart from 'social drugs' (coffee, alcohol, tobacco).
- Welfare: Limited, belive citizens should earn their way in life. Makes citizens work for their welfare.
- Education – Support private schools and oppose grants for 'free-loading' students.
Foreign policy
- Diplomacy: War only as a last resort
- Immigration: Restricted
- Religious beliefs: Pro separation of church and state.
