His Imperial Highness Prince Constantine (full name: Constantine Demetrius Louis Manuel Capet) is the second child of Emperor Andreus I Capet, younger brother of the Despot of New Constantinople, Prince Andreus Capet, and elder brother of Princesses Anna Capet, Theodora Capet, and Zoë Capet. He is a Member of the Pantocratorian Imperial Parliament for the seat of St John Chrystostom, and a former Deputy Leader of the United Christian Front.

Prince Constantine has been a member of the Pantocratorian Imperial Parliament since 2001, when he was invited to join the United Christian Front government by then Imperial Chancellor Prince Basil Capet. In 2002 he was elected into the Imperial Cabinet as the Minister for Housing. In 2003 he was promoted into the more senior portfolio of Minister for Public Safety, a portfolio which included the Imperial police, safety regulations, and emergency services, and assisted the Defence portfolio.

In 2004, Prince Constantine encouraged his father, Emperor Andreus I Capet to call new elections for the first time in years. Princess Irene Capet took this is a challenge to her position within the government, and pulled the government apart, forming the Pantocratoria First Party. Prince Basil Capet and Constantine formed the Loyal Christian Front, with Prince Basil the new party's leader and Prince Constantine its deputy.

In a new set of elections in late 2004, Prince Constantine was elected in the seat of St John Chrystostom's, New Rome, after the Emperor removed all the seats reserved for members of the Imperial Family. In mid-2005 he was the subject of some quiet court gossip after an incident involving a court cabal known as les notres, formed around Mademoiselle la Comtesse d'Eclesie.

In late 2005, he married Grand Duchess Morgan ni Cunedda, sister of High King Owain of the Resurgent Dream (see The Game of Houses). As part of the marriage arrangements, Constantine was made Count of Cerny, a Danaan county. The match is not a popular one, especially in the ranks of the reformed United Christian Front, and Constantine subsequently lost the deputy leadership to Isaac Comnenus.
