History of Corrigendum

Corrigendum is a nation of fairly strange creation. In the summer of 1898, a large band of civilians exiled for their religious beliefs fled to what is now Corrigendum. They planned to create a nation based strictly on their theologic beliefs and a free system of government which allowed even the lowest of commoner to have his voice heard.

In some cases, they succeeded. Peace and belief in their god (Keagah), created a utopian society within the inner provinces, that led to complete tranquility for 15 years. However, unrest was stirring in the outer provinces of Corrigendum. Tired of having little say in the direction of their government. Thousands upon thousands of angry protestors from Inpercis and Rhavipe marched upon the capital city of Desan with demands for their ideas to be expressed.. Steadfastly dedicated to his religion, the President at the time (Johnathon Dibble), ordered the mass execution of the protestors, going straight over the head of Vice President Felor and his Cabinet.

The power Corrigendum's military might being unleashed on the defenseless citizens was grisly. Many people died that day, their lives cut short tragically in a mass orgy of blood and gore. The Cabinet sprung into action immediately, ejecting President Dibble from his position as head of state. Victor Felor took his place, being the Vice President.

President Felor brought about a new vision of the perfect society. Everyone had their say in the way the government was ran, and it seemed that everything was back to normal. Felor ruled for several years, succeeding in ruling for 5 straight 4-year terms, before his life was tragically taken in 1938 by brain cancer. Other Presidents have ruled since then, none having such an impact as President Dibble and President Felor. The current position is held by Albert Ramosone, son of former president Richard Ramosone. What does the future hold for Corrigendum? Few can say, but one thing's for sure, Corrigendum is a devout nation dedicated to the religion that originally fueled it.
