Coscivian (race)

The Coscivian Race is an human ethnic group native to Coscivia.

Origins

The Initial origins of the Cosciv race are still unclear. Their language, Coscivian was first spoken amongst nomadic tribes in an unnamed mountain range east of Coscivia.

They entered Coscivia 2,000 years after the first record of written COscivian was found. They quickly overtook and bred with the native peoples, and formed thousands of different kingdoms. There, the Cosciv race entered what anthropolgists refer to as the "Ethnofission Period". THe different kingdoms began speaking different versions of the language, and developed cultures so far from the Proto-Cosciv society that they merited becoming different ethnic groups.

Unity to the Cosciv race came when a civilisation in South Coscivia called the Coscev, conquered Coscivia in its enitrety. The Coscivian Empire extended the Coscivian cultural region and ethnosphere further East.

The greates migration of Coscivs was the Kirav colonisation. The COscivian EMpire begans settlement of what is now Eastern Kirav and Kirverda. Settlers came from around the Empire, and soon, new groups were being formed by mixing, dispersal, and cultural fractalising. Still, the older groups were retained.

The Coscivian Empire collapsed into chaos several hundred years later, but most of its records had been duplicated in the Kiravian colonies. The Kiravian Emmpire also began greating new COscivian groups and languages as it began to expand an colonise.

Appearance

Coscivs are a light-skinned race, some to the point of albinism. They can reach 6-7 feet in average height, and generally have light eyes, but any color of hair.
