Connecting the sister cities Clermont and Costiglione, the towering Costiclermont Bridge spans farther than any bridge ever constructed by man. The Costiclermont Bridge was based upon the design of the Akashi-Kaikyo Bride in Japan, which spans some 3900 meters, making it the largest bridge in the world, prior to the construction of the Costiclermont.

Designed by esteemed Costa Bravan architect Fred Llewelyn Goché, the Costiclermont project was instantiated in 1979, and finished in 1985, due to delays resulting from the lack of consistent funding by the government. The then-Regent Jacques Pierot was dismayed with the government's handling of the Costiclermont's construction, so he allocated an unlimited amount of resources and funds to Goché and his team in 1984. It was promptly finished thereafter.

The Costiclermont Bridge has a total length of 6405 meters, double that of the Akashi-Kaikyo Bridge. It is a suspension bridge.
