Crimmond was once the lands of Poland, The Ukraine, Czechoslovakia, Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Kaliningrad. Founded from a war and led through many, many more through it's illustrious history of bloodshed, cruelty and warmongering, there has only been one era that the nation has been at total peace.

The Empire now includes lands that were once The Brotherhood of Nod: Egypt, Lybia, the Sudan and Ethiopia.

Recent History

That reign of peace ended when the Black Staff, Crimmond's intelligence organization and one of the best shadow organizations in the world, took power. Led by Agent Delta, later Administrator, the Black Staff roused the nation from it's peaceful slumber with war drums, annexing neighboring Baggera(bringing with it Belarus, The Ukraine, Kaliningrad, Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania). He vowed to not stop there, putting down small rebellions throughout the Provinces easily.

The Black Staff later betrayed Delta, by framing him with the attempted murder of Damien Dreadfire's son. This brought the wrath of Automagfreek to Crimm shores, but to support Delta in a purge. The Black Staff was decimated and was absorbed into the Crimmond Imperial Inquisition.

Delta was killed in the last battle of that war and was replaced by Riok Oran and then Davion Varchak, who had unexpectedly resurfaced, after being declared dead a decade earlier. His reign was short, though. A purge of the non-humans in Crimmond brought threats of war to the nation, though it did not erupt into battle. Delta himself surprised the nation by returning from declared death five years later, more twisted and darker than ever before, with abilities that were inhuman. Varchak's regime was dismantled and the dictator executed. Delta then reclaimed leadership, styling himself Khan. The only thing to come from his reign that was viewed as positive was Varchak's decision to join Gholgoth.

With the quiet passing of the Brotherhood of Nod, Crimmond armed forces stormed over North Africa. Quickly all that was the Brotherhood's was now theirs. Seen as a cheap land grab by many, it was nonetheless effective at expanding Crimmond from a European Empire into an Intercontinental Empire.

Delta was ousted from power peacefully not long after regaining power and now resides in the lands of Automagfreek, bearing no ill will to his replacement, Andrew Coleman IV. Coleman had a prior reign and is proving that despite war injuries and age, that he is still the capable leader he was in his youth. Most recently, Andrew Coleman has stepped down to allow his son, Kenneth Coleman II to take the throne.

During the reign of Coleman, the Brotherhood resurfaced in Africa and incited rebellion. Kenneth refused to allow such a rebellion rob the Empire of half their lands. Delta resurfaced as well, trying to reclaim his throne. In the intense fighting, Coleman was killed when his helicopter was struck by an RPG, fired by Delta. Delta himself died moments later when the escort helicopters returned fire.

This left Coleman's new Empress in charge of the nation. She was horrified by the wars and the violence of the Empire and officially dissolved the Imperial government, turning the nation into the Republic of Crimmond. The new nation severed all ties to Gholgoth, but remained in NATO.

After four years, the Republic was spiraling down into oblivion and the Brotherhood of Nod was rising to power. After a vote, they elected Omar Pace as President. He would be the last to hold that title, as he dissolved the Republic almost overnight and installed the Brotherhood as the ruling party of Crimmond, rebranding the nation the 'Imperial Brotherhood', stating that the Intercontinetal Empire and the Republic were dead and a new, stronger Crimmond was emerging. Pace rejoined Gholgoth and has since proven himself a capable leader, though he has knowingly made himself a needle in the side of Damien Dreadfire of Automagfreek and Dayne the Evenstar of Pantera. For what reasons are unknown.

Leaders of the Empire

Eleven people have ruled Crimmond, in fourteen separate reigns.

1st ruler:
Emperor Vladimir Saratov I
Commander of the Crimm Guard before becoming the first Emperor.
Current Status: DECEASED(Shot during coup)

2nd reign of two rulers:
High Commander Andrew Coleman IV
Three Star General before shooting the Emperor and taking Crimmond into it's bloodiest age as military warlord. Ousted peacefully by Reil Tian.
Current Status: See Below

3rd reign of three rulers:
Lord Riel Tian
Adviser to the High Commander during his first reign. Assumed control after Coleman was found stabbing himself in the head with a cooked hotdog. Details of the event were not made public. Replaced by his sister after faking his own death.
Current Status: See Below.

4th reign of four rulers:
Lady Lara Tian
Sister of Riel Tian and successor after her brother faked his death in order to track down an old enemy. Unlike previous rulers, she was weak and easily manipulated. Pacifist mentality was quite strong. Ousted by Warlord Goor.
Current Status: DECEASED(Officially: 'killed' in a terrorist attack, actually executed when Varchak took power.)

5th reign of five rulers:
Warlord Goor
Only non-human to rule in Crimmond. His reign was the shortest of all Crimm leaders, lasting all of three hours, before he was killed by a retired assassin named Domino.
Current Status: DECEASED(fall from a third story window onto concrete)

6th reign of six rulers:
Empress Domino Saratov Andolini
Daughter of Vladimir Saratov I, she assumed the throne unwillingly. A strong leader, she fared well in quelling several outbursts of terrorism around the Empire. She was not a popular leader, as she would vanish from the nation, leaving her Foreign Minister as interim leader while she was away. Willingly gave power back to Riel Tian as he resurfaced, alive and well.
Current Status: DECEASED(incinerated by Ravelyn Shentavo)

7th reign of six rulers:
Reil Tian
Returning from his mission, along with his sister, Riel reclaimed his throne and led popularly for several more years. A terrorist attack in the nation's largest city, Myer, claimed his sister and nearly drove him insane. He became isolated and mentally unstable for some time and was finally removed from power by assassination.
Current Status: DECEASED(shot by Agent 283 of the Black Staff)

8th reign of seven rulers:
Agent/Khan Delta
Delta's history is not known to many more than a dozen people worldwide. He is a human demon hybrid, created by a demon not only possessing a human, but destroying their mind utterly and fully claiming the body. After a brutal takeover of the nation, Delta ruled through fear and death for several years. Then the Black Staff turned on him and he died on the battlefield.
Current Status: See Below.

9th reign of eight rulers:
Overlord Varchak
Davion Varchak, the supposedly dead leader of Baggera, reemerged suddenly and managed to sieze power in the power vacuum after Delta and the Black Staff were swept aside. Being a former Crimm general and providing proof that the High Commander had named Davion(not Reil Tian) to be his heir, he claimed the throne and started a brutal campaign against all non-humans, save for his Foreign Minister. His reign was bloody and is considered by far the most tyrannical. He was shot several dozen times by Imperial Marines in his bunker as Delta returned from death.
Current Status: DECEASED(shot while 'resisting arrest')

10th reign of eight rulers:
Khan Delta
Delta returned to power colder and more frightening than he had been before he died(or rather his human body died). Five years after death, he retook the throne and repaired the nation. The nation took on a much more Gothic feel, rather than a post-modern industrial jungle like it had before and Delta became much more interested in World Affairs, rather than those at home. He vanished from the nation suddenly and was not seen until an uprising in Cairo allowed him to murder Kenneth Coleman II, but he was unable to escape the return fire from the Emperor's escorts.
Current Status: DECEASED(Unknown if permanent)

11th reign of eight rulers:
High Commander Andrew Coleman IV
After so many bloody, ugly and tyrannical rulers in a row, the people called for a ruler that was strong, fair and could be trusted. Out of the possible candidates, only one was still alive. The High Commander, now well into his sixties, returned to the throne looking much as he did so many years before(thanks to a beret with a wig, dark sunglasses and padded jackets). Despite health problems and a missing foot(lost to illness but is publicly a war wound), he has ruled fairly and has finished the rebuilding of Crimmond. He also finished Delta's annexation of the African Province and has proven to be as strong as ever. After suffering a stroke and years of failing health, he was finally forced to step down and allow his son to rule.
Current Status: DECEASED(heart failure while sleeping)

12th reign of nine rulers:
Kenneth Coleman II
Son of the High Commander, he had not held any major command in the military nor any major political office before becoming Emperor. Once taking power, he announced sweeping changes, dissolving the Inquisition, allowing elections for Senate, reducing the size of government in the citizen's lives.
Current Status: DECEASED(Helicopter was shot down by Delta)

13th reign of ten rulers:
Empress/President Catalina Vakko-Coleman
Wife of Kenneth Coleman, she dismantled the Empire and created a Republic, making several international enemies while doing so. The democratic process itself would be her downfall, as the 'Party of Brotherhood'(controlled by the Brotherhood of Nod) gained power over the Senate, which voted in her successor.
Current Status: DECEASED(executed by Omar Pace)

14th reign of eleven rulers:
President/General Omar Pace
A Brotherhood General who rose to power peacefully through the democratic process and then dismantled the Republic of Crimmond and repaired the damage Catalina had done to the nation's reputation, turning the nation into the Imperial Brotherhood.
Current Status: Alive, Ruler of the Brotherhood

Alliances

Crimmond has an active membership in Gholgoth at the moment and a loose affiliation with Metus.

Previous alliances have included the first incarnation of the GDODAD, the WMNK, the International Banking Organization, Galactic Alliance, the Crimmond Combine Inter-Regional Alliance, the APTO and the Crimmond Combine.

Crimmond Military

The Crimm military might is not split into five divisions like most nations on Earth. Instead of an Army, Airforce, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard, Crimmond only has an Imperial Navy and Imperial Marine Corps, which handle the responsibilities of the absent branches. The Navy handles both Naval and Airforce matters. The Marines take on the roles of Army and Coast Guard in addition to the amiphibious role of a Marine Corps.

Navy

Crimmond's Navy has changed dramatically since the early days of Naval superiority. Reduced from a total of eight carrier battlegroups, one-hundred and fifty submarines and nearly 200 free roaming surface ships, the Olde Man's Navy, as they were known throughout the fleet as, had only one carrier group and less than a dozen free roaming ships. This has changed with the return of Varchak, who concentrated on rebuilding the navy. Crimmond now boasts a healthy surface fleet and one of the largest submarine fleets in the world.

Marines

The Crimmond Marine Corps was once two halves, but those halves have changed. One is the Crimmond Marine. A standard male or female, usually human, citizen that joins the Marine Corps. Training is on par with other First World nations.

Civils, on the other hand are the workhorses of the Marines. They are a genetically altered species with a blood lust and intelligence unmatched. They have tougher armor and better weapons than Marines and will happily fall back on knife fighting or even hand to hand if they run out of ammunition.

Imperial Commandos are a very small sub-group of the Marines. They are the best of the Corps' human troops and have been given drastic alterations in surgical enhancements, armor upgrades and top of the line weapons. They were created to prove that humans are just as good as Civils, given the proper tools.

Recently the Brotherhood of Nod Trooper Corps merged with the Marine Corps, using mostly Brotherhood infantry equipment and mostly Crimm armor and air assets. This new combined Corps was titled the Crimm Marine Corps.

The Civils and Commandos remain in the service, Civils making up a surprisingly large amount of the Corps force, used to take areas of a battlefield that humans would be unable to take. The Commandos are used mostly for behind enemy lines missions, disrupting convoys and causing the enemy to split it's attention.
