Crimson-Vale is a rogue nation that broke off from the peace and freedom-loving country known as Dormanchau. They found their way into a much less hospitable environment, but nonetheless created their own places to live, known for the crimson tint of the soil, granting a name. The nation's leader, Vaulter Hauptmann, believes highly in government control of its people and military might. Crimson-Vale's government is openly militaristic and capitalist. They are fond of the grandiose and fear-inspiring, as exemplified by the name of the country and its capital city. The man rose to power through traditional assassins and bribes. They believe that countries like Dormanchau are weak and far too optomistic for the world they inhabit. Crimson-Vale's leaders believe they should be ready to defend theirselves at all times, or even be ready to make the first strike. Unfortunately for its citizens, their are no political freedoms. Their rights are severly limited. Guns are banned, but not from the police force are army, keeping most in check through fear and tyranny. Religions are barely looked at. Educations is valued only to keep the military minds sharp. So far, it has engaged in a war with Argoron and Dormanchau's automobile industries. Dormanchau offered it a piece of it's profits in exchange for protection. Ever the mercenaries, Crimson-Vale gladly fought off the Argoron offensive. Though it was outnumbered, the country made up for it in sheer military power and technology. Many highly skilled mercenary groups make their livings in Crimson-Vale, receiving many deals in the country. On another note, there is a large city in the central area, named Valhalla, which is dedicated to war veterans and the like.

Government and Organization

Crimson-Vale's government is openly militaristic and capitalist. They are fond of the grandiose and fear-inspiring, as exemplified by the name of the country and its capital city. Most of the nation's leading figures rose to power through shady assassins and bribes. The government believes that countries like Dormanchau are weak and far too optimistic for the world they inhabit; A large role in international affairs is strongly advised, and a large military is always maintained. Crimson-Vale's leaders believe they should be ready to defend themselves at all times, or even be ready to make the first strike. Unfortunately for its citizens, their are no political freedoms. Elections are banned, along with homosexuality, perversion, individual working rights, and many others. Citizens are essentially slaves to the state. Guns are banned, but not from the police forces or army, keeping most in check through fear and tyranny. Religions are barely looked at, though not necessarily banned altogether. Education is valued only to keep the military minds sharp, and so many volunteer for the military to get into prestigious strategic academies. Mercenaries run rampant in Crimson-Vale due to government sponsorship. Free permits are issued to almost all who apply and pass a government-sponsored Political Alignment Test. Since the nation values warfare and strength more than all other things, there has even been a large metropolis established to house veterans of Crimson-Vale's many wars, known as Valhalla. Crimson-Vale once had the most powerful economy in Imperial Crescentia before falling to the libertarian consumerist state of Imperial Partevour, and industrialization has overrun the landscape. The nation's landmass is an environmentalist's nightmare, though the government refuses to acknowledge the damage they have done, as the country's many factories and industrial complexes feed not only mouths but also the nation's insatiable war machine.

Warfare

Currently it has engaged in a war with Argoron and Dormanchau's automobile industries. Dormanchau offered the government automobile profits in exchange for protection, as Dormanchau has no standing army. Ever the mercenaries, Crimson-Vale gladly fought off several offensives by their Argoronese rivals. Though outnumbered, the country made up for it in sheer military power and technology, completely annihalating the outdated Argoronese tanks and infantry. The war was short-lived as Argoron took a fierce beating from the CV forces, and a ceasefire was signed that put Argoron in a crippling trade deficit. A great hatred exists between both nations, and Vaulter Hauptmann has increased the fury of his anti-Argoron rhetoric recently, leading many to believe a new war is on the way. Crimson Vale began militarily, with a handful of reactionary hard-liners backed by an armed mercenary force (at the time, mercenaries were also very prevalent in Dormanchau due to a ban on official armed forces). Many of the mercenaries allied with Hauptmann were former Dormanchau Army officers and strategists who knew top technological secrets and were well-trained in the arts of warfare. In the country, weapons are banned from civilian use unless issued a government permit. These permits often cite questions such as “Do you have any previous military involvement?’, “What is your political/social ideology?” and “Are you involved in any paramilitary organizations?”. Because of this, the government can limit gun use to administration-friendly mercenaries and freelancers.
