Cross-Country is the pride of Simonvian Trains. The rolling stock used is a mixture of 125mph diesel stock and 135mph electric trains, which were cascaded from international duties some years back.
All trains run with first and standard class accomodation and a buffet car that provides hot food throughout the day.
Routes operated by Cross-Country include:
- Chapeltown Central to Derby (via Welwyn)
- Chapeltown Central to Seamer (via Calgary)
- Chapeltown Central to Sheffield (Extented onto Chesterfield and Derby)
- Chapeltown Central to St Albans (via Sheffield and Selby)
- Derby to St Albans (via Welwyn and Bedford)
The services to Seamer and St Albans via Selby are operated by 4 or 5 car trains that run in pairs between Chapeltown Central and Elsecar Leeman Road before dividing with the front portion going to St Albans and the rear portion running to Seamer.
