Cyprarnia is mostly concerned with regional issues, and tries to mantain stablity in Calfalas with its large army. Cyprarnia is a member of the United Nation, but does not have much interest in international affairs

History

Humble Beginnings

In the 4th century AD, a young man named Cyprian lead a small army against The Calafalian Warlord Ania IV who ruled over a large area of the region of Calafalas.

Verolíno was a small town in Northern Calafalas, that was often abused by the Confederation of Calafalian Warlords, of which Anai IV was ruler. The town often suffered from famine, lack of funding from the State, as well as the pillaging and devestation caused by the Tirevulians, who orginated from the province Makkus Tirevulia. To add to the problems Verolíno, Anai enacted a new tax law, forcing the Verolínians to pay a permanet tax rate of 95% on their daily income.

The son of the town wise man, and a gifted tactician, Cyprian decided that something must be done to save his people. Cyprian quickly raised a small army of 5,000 and removed the governor of Verolíno appointed by the State. Alarmed by Cyprians action, Anai lead an army of 20,000 to retake Verolíno, and establish stability in his Empire.

In the Battle of Verolíno Cyprian devestated the larger army of Anai, and forced the Calafalians to retreat and never to bother the Verolínians again. This victory also gained the support Cyprian needed from the people of Verolíno.

Founding of an Empire

Cyprian knew quickly that his new nation needed a stable government, and had the wise men of the town write up a constitution. This constitution set up the first Constitutional Monarchy in the region. Cyprian became the King of Verolíno, and the people eleceted men from the town to fill the newly created Ribensfammer, meaning Peoples Chamber in Cyprarnian. Using his army of 5,000 Cyprian conquered Makkus Tirevulia, doubling the size of his nation.

The provinces of Makkus Tirevulia and Verolíno were combined and renamed Cyprarnia by the Ribensfammer, in honor of Cyprian. Verolíno was established as the capital. After a quick economic transformation as well as some major military advancements, Cyprarnia was established as a regional power that rivaled the Calafalian Empire.

Cyprarnia

Cyprian died at the age of 64, and his son King Markus I also known as Marklemange took the throne of Cyprarnia. Using the army that his father had built, Markus I conquered Thiceos, Zimmerland, and Ibium from the Calafalian Empire. His quick expansion lead to the fall of the Empire which was divided into many different nations.

Markus died early at the age of 36, from a plague that hit Verolíno in 476AD. For many years after his death no King was able to raise an army strong enough to conquer anymore territory, but Cyprarnia was but on the map as an empire.

Introduction of Methodism, and other forms of Christianity, in Cyprarnia

In 587AD, The teachings of the great Christian Scholar, Methodin, reached the young Emperor of Cyprarnia, Trillian. Enticed by Methodin's wise teachings on salavation and God, Trillian was converted and his population soon followed his lead. Currently, Methodism (The following of the teachings of Methodin) is the national religion. Catholicism, the following o the teachings of Cathol, is the second largest religion in Cyprarnia

Neotopolians Split from Cyprarnia

In 1980, Emperor Markus II's policies were harsh on the people of Cyprarnia. He attempted to abloish civil rights and almost all political freedoms. In this struggle a group of people attempted to reform Cyprarnia. Markus II, however, refused to allows anything and after a few incidents and through the use of his secert police and spies, these people left Cyprarnia all together. They migrated south onto the ruins of Anaionopolis and renamed it Neotopolis and founded the Empire of Neotopolis.

Modern Cyprarnian History

Cyprarnia is currently a member of the Imperial Alliance of Calafalas and is dedicated to stablity in the region. The region of Calafalas was forgotten by the world, as the Old Calafalian Empire died. However this alliance has put the region back on the map. Emperor Reiner, son of Markus II has taken the thrown, and is struggling to maintain a functioning economy. His legislation favors civil rights, but he has destroyed buisness and Cyprarnia's economy as a whole. He is now working to restore Cyprarnia's economy

Cyprarnia's Government

Cyprarnia's government is divided into three sections, the Excutive, Legislative and Judical Branches of government. The Executive is run by the Monarchy, which is decided by heirship. The Legislative is run by the Ribensfammer which was elected by the people. The Judicial Branch was appointed by the Legislative branch, and is safe from Executive interference.

Executive

Cyprarnia is ruled by an Emperor, who is directly related to Cyprian. Until 1980, the Monarch and the Ribensfammer shared power, however Holy Emperor Markus banned the right to vote, and shut down the Ribenfammer. The Emperor is allowed to make and legislation he wants, as long as it is not shot down by the Judicial branch of Cyprarnia.

Ribensfammer

The Ribensfammer was shut down by Emperor Markus, but it functions still as an interest group. It vocies its opinions to its leader, who may or may not listen. In its glory days it was filled with two major parites, The Cyprarnian Democratization Front, and the Cyprarnian Royal Party. Proportional Representation was banned in Cyprarnia due to how ridiculous it is, according to the people and leaders of Cyprarnia.

Judical

Judges are still appointed by the Ribensfammer, but they are not as powerful as they once were. The Judges of Cyprarnia existed before the formation of the government, in the form of the town wise men.
