The Dominion of Da-Iguru is a moderately-sized nation located below Russia stretching from Mongolia in the west to the Korean peninsula in the east. Its leader, Teiuk Rush, has served 15 consecutive terms without significant opposition. Political freedoms are rare, although personal freedoms are abundant. The western prefectures Nebuk, Ulgu, Samath, and Nukur have declared independence and formed the Republic of Nozda, but Da-Iguru refuses to acknowledge them.

History

Da-Iguru (meaning "Igur land") hasn't existed as a political entity until the mid-18th century. Previously pockets of Tiku-speaking peoples were scattered across central Asia, their languages absorbing many features of the surrounding ones. In 1734, a young Igur soldier from Korea rallied fellow Igur with him to overthrow the existing Korean government and instate an Igur homeland. They were successful, driving out the native Koreans. After hearing the news, other Igur in Manchuria and Mongolia revolted and formed their own nations, eventually unifying with the main Igur nation. The Korean-influenced variant known as Su-Igurzüg became standard.

Government

Elections

Elections for the cabinet and prime minister were typically held once every three years, but a recent controversial decision from Teiuk Rush himself outlawed elections, who declared himself the head of state for the remainder of his life and made it his duty to appoint and dismiss officials as he saw fit.
