Dafidism is a wide set of theories and beliefs about the nature of existence, as put forward by The Teacher himself.

In political terms, Dafidism views itself as ideologically liberated, being similar to anarchism, communism and democratic socialism, but without ideological contamination (Dafidism views all ideologies, including communist ones as the product of one class imposing its will upon another; Dafidism considers itself to be the state in which there is a privation of all other false ideologies).

Dafidist politics is based on the political structure of Dafitopiapolis, combining direct democracy with a centralised democratic government that has power to overule. Dafidists believe that all property should be under the control of the state, but respects individual freedom, to a moderate extenet; people are believed to be most free when their is a balance of power. So, for example, Dafidism is usually against alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, but is willing to accept liberal views with regards to medical ethics, religion and law and order.

It is against the death penalty; Dafidius argued that there are only a handful of times in human history when the death penalty was necessary. Instead of prisons, it generally focuses on the rehabilitation of prisoners, but ensures that they are still working for the state while imprisoned.

Dafidists usually support economic efficiency, unlike many people of the Green movement and say that as long as economic growth is appropriate and sustainable, it is generally a good thing. Nevertheless, Dafidism believes that unsustainable development is dangerous and foolish.

In Education, Dafidism rejects vocational views, which it regards as capitalistic. Instead it supports a very advanced and demanding education course, which develops children as fully as possible. Education is pluralist but teachers are encouraged to be reasonably strict in controlling pupils. There are very few tests in schools aspiring to Dafidism, which does not view the purpose of education to be assessment, but rather education itself.

Dafidism is internationalist and supports the spreading of revolution across the globe. It is usually anti-Bolshevik, and anti-Leninist (see Marxism). It views such things as false ideologies, which are used to harness the proletariat for elitist purposes. It is also generally hostile to Trotskyism (see Marxism) and some other apparently leftist ideologies.

The arrangement of a perfect Dafidist family. Dafidism is sceptical about the traditional human middle class family, but it has little to replace it with and therefore takes a generally neutral view towards such things.

Dafidist politics is highly utilitarian, aiming for the greatest happiness for its people, rather than abstract principles. Nevertheless, it emphasises the importance of society, rather than individualism.

In Philosophy, Dafidism is generally quite nihilistic and sceptical, sharing some relationship with some 'post-modern' philosophy (Dafidism is anti-post modern, which it views as a new wave of totalitarianism, it views such philosophies as hyper-modern, being as they are the natural conclusion of the likes of Hume and Nietsche). It has complex historical views, which are broadly similar to post-marxism, emphasising a dialectic between the economic base and ideological superstructure; however, while it does support historical determinism, it views history as a chaotic system and is therefore wary about predictions and those who hail the likes of Marx (see Marxism)as prophets. It is neither extremely materialistc nor idealistic, both of which it views as foolish paths.

In Natural Philosophy, Dafidism follows Schrodinger's belief that waves will ultimately explain the particle-wave duality. It follows a deterministic interpretation of Quantum Theory, rejecting the traditional Quantum approach (which it views as post-modern, not hyper-modern.) It supports General Relativity and has its own interpretation of String Theory, which need not be described in detail here. Dafidism is pro-science, but is sceptical of it (this approach is again viewed as hyper-modernism). It views science as a sensible and rigorous balance between empiricism and rationalism.
