Danaan Air Force

The Danaan Air Force is the aviation branch of the Danaan Armed Forces. The Air Force also has jurisdiction over the Danaan Space Command, although men and women from all branches of the Armed Forces partifipate in that program. The Air Force was formed as a separate branch of the armed forces on 18 January 1990. Since its formation, the Danaan Air Force has participated in three military conflicts. The Danaan Air Force is moderately sized, possessing 7,609 aircraft, 906 military space shuttles, and twenty-four spaceships in service. Because the Air Force is relied upon as the first line of defense against space powers, it is the most technologically advanced branch of the Armed Forces, relying in some of its programs on imported technology from Menelmacar.

The stated mission of the Danaan Air Force is to "provide for King and Country effective options for the defense of the Resurgent Dream and her interests, in the air and space."

The highest ranking officer currently serving in the Danaan Air Force and the Air Force's representative on the Military Command Council is General Blandford James.
