Danaan Minister for Justice

The Danaan Minister for Justice is a member of the Danaan Cabinet responsible for legal affairs. The Minister helps the government formulate legislative positions on judicial and legal issues, acts as the chief law enforcement official of the Resurgent Dream, acts as the government's chief lawyer and chairs the Standing Parliamentary Committee on the Judiciary.

Traditionally, the Minister is a licensed attorney. This is not required by law or statute because the Minister is required to be a Member of Parliament and the Danaan people are under no obligation to elect one or more lawyers or members of any other specific trade to represent them in Parliament. In practice, however, the government always counts one or more licensed attorneys among its party's MPs.
