Danaan Minister for the Treasury

The Danaan Minister for the Treasury is a Cabinet-level minister in the Danaan Government. He is the head of the Ministry for the Treasury and the equivalent of the Minister for Finance in many other nations.

The Minister for the Treasury is the principle economic advisor in the Government. He formulates policies regarding financial, economic, and tax policy and manages the public debt. He oversees his Ministry's duties in acting as the financial agent of the Resurgent Dream, in minting coins and currency, and in managing the Royal Bank of the Resurgent Dream.

As the chief financial officer of the Danaan Government, the Minister serves as head of the National Pension Fund and the Social Safety Fund. He also also serves as chair of the Ambaran Development Bank.The Minister collaborates with the Minister for Foreign Affairs and sometimes with the Prime Minister of the Resurgent Dream in deciding the Cabinet's binding recommendation to the High King regarding the appointment of ambassadors to economic treaty organizations of which the Resurgent Dream is a member state like the Knootian International Stabilisation Treaty and the Trade Network Association.

In Parliament, the Minister is the chair of the Standing Parliamentary Committee on the Treasury.
