Revolution of Dawn

Little, in fact, is known about this event in Iluvauromeni history. Two years ago, on January 5th, a hitherto virtually unknown rebel force, believed to be predominantly Nenyar and presumably with the support of Great Houses ux-Rihad and Rihad, staged a flawless coup, executing - disturbingly enough, on live television - the two brutal dictators who had assumed control of Ma-tek and Ax-turath. It is today clear that those two indivudals were none other, of course, than the now-High King the High Lord Commodore Semir-randil and the former Emperor, Si Ling I, now the Royal Father.

The coup resulted in the formation of the Empire of the Eternal Dawn, based in part on the old Empire of the Eternal Flame but with far greater social freedoms and civil rights, with universal suffrage a key difference in the new Empire - but that Empire did not last, and was replaced with the more democratic and seemingly more stable Iluvauromeni Commonality of Everlasting Light, following the Constitutional Congress - which is also referred to as The Loud Silence.

The events which lead up to the coup, however, remain mostly unknown. The information, it is clear, is not for release to the public; this remains an anomaly of secrecy in the now exceptionally open modern land of Iluvauromen, which appears to have embraced democracy with both arms - albeit a very balanced form thereof.

It is, however, strongly believed by some historians that the coup operated out of Nenya, which was in startlingly pristine condition considering its emptiness for nearly a hundred years, upon the rapid return of the population two years ago.

No doubt this is but another instance where our knowledge can but increase as more time passes, and more information comes to light.
