Dayaks

Dayaks are Yor and Drath hybrids. They are the only hybrids found in the main Friendly Alien species. All other species are physically incapable of creating hybrids therefore couples of other species normally adopt if they want a child.

The Dayak looks like what you would expect from a Yor and Drathi hybrid. It has the stature of the Drathi whilst it has the bulkyness and the visage of a Yor.

It still has no external nasel passages and no sense of smell (which is common among nearly all of the Friendly Alien species).

It has the bony ridges on the forehead which it has got from its Yor side but the great intellegence of the Drath. The typical Dayak has grey skin, course hair and white eyes.

Social Attributes

Unlike the Drath who prefer a "watcher" position in society. The Dayaks although they share most of the brain characteristics of the Drath are vastly different.

They share the obsession with gathering information about anything that catches there interest however they prefer to mix thereselves with the systems they wish to analyse, this gives them a great insight into whatever they are investigating and in a social context this makes them great companions.

However if a Dayak's attention is focussed on something dangerous this facination with mixing themselves with anything they try to understand can make be dangerous.

The numbers of Dayaks are few with the low success rate of Yor and Drathi pairing but those that are successfully made are generally very successful in any career they under take.
