The Colonial Deep Space Fighter is the most used fighter in the Colonial Armada in deep space dog fights, as the Orbital Fighter, while able to be used in deep space, is not as effective and is usually used to secure Dropship and Planetary Assault Vessel landing sights. It is extremely fast, but is not shielded, relying on its speed to avoid incoming fire. It mounts an impressive array of weaponry, both a missile Launcher and explosive round MG.
