Saint Holden Ancient History

Della Cruz is a democratic republic with a strong constitution. Della Cruz has avoided the violence that has plagued the Saint Holden region; it is seen as an example of political stability in the region.

Executive responsibilities are vested in a Lord Protector, who is the country's center of power. There also are two vice presidents as well as a cabinet designated by the president. The Lord Protector, vice presidents, and fifty-one Legislative Assembly delegates are elected for four-year terms.

Della Cruz consists of nine states, each are directed by a mayor. Mayors are chosen democratically every four years by each province's people. Della Cruz has no military by constitution but maintains domestic police forces for internal security.

Administrative divisions

Della Cruz is divided into nine provinces.

  • San Melió
  • Cartina
  • Santa Lima
  • Eviana
  • Puantano
  • Nivanjó
  • San Ramana

  • Los Palmarès

Della Cruz consists mostly of flat to rolling plains. At the southwestern end is the Sierra Josia, a range of steep mountains whose highest point is the Pico Domingos at 2,005 metres (6,578 ft). The local climate is tropical, though moderated by trade winds. In general (with local variations), there is a drier season from November to April, and a rainier season from May to October. The average temperature is 21 °C in January and 27 °C in July. Della Cruz lies in the path of hurricanes, and these destructive storms are most common in September and October. Port Anthony is the largest city and capital; other major cities include Santini and Livüey. Better known smaller towns include Trinadiaz, Pascalá and Los Numendèz.

Della Cruz is a mixed, free-market economy with state enterprises as well as private sector businesses. Major sectors of the Della Cruz economy include agriculture, mining, manufacturing, tourism and financial and insurance services. Tourism and mining are the leading foreign exchange earners.
