The World Cup Nation Hall of Fame is maintained by the Spaamanian football association (SFA). At the end of each World Cup, one new nation is chosen to be inducted, based on their long term success in the World Cup proper. Officially, the method involves a rubber chicken and a woman named 'Margaret', but unofficially, it can be determined using the Spaam Ranking System. As well as the official inductees, certain other nations can be recognised for outstanding performance and contribution if warranted by the football community.

(Please feel free to add/modify the descriptions of the teams.)

World Cup 1 : Crosshill

Crosshill SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC1 7 1 1

The first ever winner of the World Cup, the former nation of Crosshill set the benchmark for excellence for the next hundred years. Though they only competed in three World Cups, no other nation has ever come close to such a spectacular career history. They followed their World Cup 1 win with a quarterfinal appearance in World Cup 2, and finished runner-up to Giant Zucchini in World Cup 3. Long since dead, every nation still remembers the great Crosshill.

World Cup 2 : Europa Brittania

Europa Brittania SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC2 9 2 1 1

The runner-up to Crosshill in World Cup 1, Europa Brittania is widely considered one of the greatest footballing nations in history, and certainly the greatest former nation. Though World Cup 2 was won by Al Quds, Europa Brittania was consistent in their good performance, qualifying for the first seventeen World Cups, more than any other foundation nation. They eventually found success in World Cup 9 and then World Cup 11, becoming the second dual World Cup winner. Even to this day, over 50 years since their last World Cup appearance, they are still one of the most successful ever World Cup nations.

World Cup 3 : Giant Zucchini

Giant Zucchini SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC3 9 3 1 2

The winner of World Cup 3, Giant Zucchini is one of only three nations from the original World Cup still competing. They qualified for the first fifteen World Cups, excluding World Cup 6, before a 44 year qualifying drought. They eventually reached the finals for a second time in World Cup 10, losing to Lemmitania. Giant Zucchini is also known for one of the best and long-lived footballers in history, Urk. Though they haven't qualified since World Cup 26, they are still an incredibly competitive team, and it is only a matter of time before they are back on top.

World Cup 4 : Al Quds

Al Quds SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC4 11 3 1 2

Like Crosshill, Al Quds won their maiden World Cup, participated in three, and the ceased to be. In fact, so unusual was their departure, when they were due to host World Cup 5, that since then a nation that ceases to exist midway through a competition is said to have 'Al Quds Syndrome'. Nevertheless, in the short time that they participated, they were a football powerhouse, moving on to the Round of 16 in both their cups after World Cup 3.

World Cup 5 : Brazillico

Brazillico SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC5 15 4 1 1 1 1

The Chilli Bats won World Cup 5, then became the first nation to successfully defend their title in World Cup 6. Unfortunately after that, they then failed to qualify for over thirty years. Nevertheless during that decade, they were the best football team in the world, and became a legend in their own right. In total, Brazillico only qualified for eight World Cups, but were dominant in all but the first.

World Cup 6 : Quohog

Quohog SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC6 16 5 1 1 2 1

The first Hall of Fame nation to not win a World Cup, they were yet one of the best teams during the first 25 years of the World Cup. Their crowning moment was finishing runner-up to the then unbeatable Brazillico in World Cup 6, after failing to qualify eight years earlier.

World Cup 7 : Ariddia

Ariddia SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC7 16 7 3 3 1

The founder of the World Cup had never gotten past the quarterfinals, but had been consistent, qualifying for every cup they had participated in, and only failing to move past the group stage once. Their crowning moment was third place in World Cup X, defeating One Red Dot. However, they then failed to qualify for over seventy years, only coming back in World Cup XXVIII, after being missing for sixteen cups. Since then, they have re-established themselves as one of the top teams in the world, a fitting place for the original World Cup team, and only one of two still competing.

World Cup 8 : Svecia

Svecia SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC8 17 7 2 2 3

A mainstay of the World Cup for a very long time, Svecia qualified for twenty-two World Cups, missing only two since their first. Their highlights were two third places, the first in World Cup V, defeating the great Europa Brittania, and the second in World Cup VII, defeating a then young Bedistani team. Despite no longer existing, because of their consistency and longevity, they are still one of the most successful ever World Cup nations.

World Cup 9 : Tanah Burung

Tanah Burung SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC9 18 7 1 2 2 2

A very popular footballing nation, the former Tanah Burung never topped their highlight of runner-up in World Cup II to the great Al Quds. They qualified for every cup they participated in but one, and moved beyond the group stage more often than not. The host of World Cup V, they are also one of only two nations to be considered for the Hall of Fame four times, so their induction was also very popular.

World Cup 10 : Lemmitania

Lemmitania SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC10 25 8 1 1 2 2 2

The winner of World Cup X, the former nation of Lemmitania is strangely not best remembered for their football team. No doubt a great team, they reached the semi-finals three times and the finals twice, and qualified for fifteen cups. However, it was their internationally famous commentating teams (most notably 'Gil') that made them a favourite around the world. They also hosted three cups, World Cup VII, World Cup XII, and became hosts for the infamous World Cup VI, after both hosts suffered from temporary Al Quds Syndrome.

World Cup 11 : Bedistan

Bedistan SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC11 18 6 1 2 1 2

Easily the most successful World Cup nation of all time, Bedistan has had a long and illustrious history. Funnily enough, at the time of their induction, their highlight was finishing runner-up in World Cup VIII to their long time rivals, Liverpool England, and they had just failed to qualify for World Cup XI. That was the only time Bedistan ever failed to qualify, and they then went on to win four World Cups, twice beating Liverpool England in the finals.

World Cup 12 : Total n Utter Insanity

Total n Utter Insanity SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC12 18 10 1 6 3

Total n Utter Insanity are certainly the old maids of the World Cup, qualifying for a record 28 cups, yet never winning one. By the twelfth World Cup, their best performance was a solitary quarter-final appearance. By the thirtieth, their best was a final appearance in World Cup XXI. However, it is their longevity and consistency that have made them one of the most successful ever World Cup nations, failing to qualify only once, in their seventh World Cup. It is often joked that they will never win a World Cup, but it also assumed that they will never fail to qualify.

World Cup 13 : Spaam

Spaam SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC13 24 7 2 1 1 1 2

If nothing else, the Heartland nation of Spaam has made the World Cup interesting. They have been famous for controversies, such as Spaamgate, their bout of Al Quds Syndrome during World Cup VI, and their boycotting of the infamous World Cup IXX. However they are also one of the oldest and most active World Cup nations, and were instrumental in creating the modern World Cup Committee. They finished runner-up in World Cup XIII at the very peak of their footballing history; by the 26th World Cup, they had failed to qualify for the sixth straight time. It is only recently that they have started to relive some of their former, though inconsistent, glory, and only time will tell if they finally win that elusive trophy.

World Cup 14 : Liverpool England

Liverpool England SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC14 22 8 1 1 1 2 3

The third, and certainly greatest, Heartland nation to make their mark, Liverpool England is undoubtedly one of the most successful World Cup nations in history. Their victory in World Cup VIII launched a long-standing rivalry with Bedistan, which culminated in Liverpool England losing to them twice in a row, in World Cups 26 and 27. However, by that time, they had already scored their second World Cup crown (in World Cup XXIV).

World Cup 15 : Squornshelous

Squornshelous SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC15 24 10 1 3 3 3

Squornshelous is a nation that has always flown under the radar; their highlight was in World Cup XV, losing to Commerce Heights in the final. However, they have emerged as one of the most successful ever nations, failing to qualify for just one cup in over a century. They are of the same ilk as Total n Utter Insanity and Audioslavia; their longevity and consitency has cemented them in World Cup history, yet they are yet to lift the coveted trophy.

World Cup 16 : Eauz

Eauz SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC16 25 6 2 1 1 2

In World Cup XVI, Eauz won for the second time in four cups, defeating Bedistan in the final (they defeated Spaam in World Cup XIII). A three time cup host, Eauz is still ranked among the best teams of all time, despite no longer competing in international football.

World Cup 17 : Rejistania

Rejistania SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC17 31 7 2 1 1 1 1 1

Rejistania won the World Cup for the second time in World Cup XVII; they then became the second team to win it twice in a row, and the first to win it three times, four years later. They were also the first team to win the cup four times, in World Cup XXIII, which they co-hosted with Eauz. They have never failed to qualify since their first in World Cup XI, where they went all the way to the quarterfinals; the next cup they went all the way to win. Such is the nature of Rejistania, a nation who after such a short time became the best team in the world, and held the position for a long time.

Fifty Year Award : Dennisov

Dennisov SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC17 20 11 1 3 7

World Cup 17 was the last time Dennisov qualified for the cup, fifty years after they won World Cup IV. The first of the three Heartland nations to reach the finals, they never made it past the second round after that time. But they will always be remembered for being one of the first holders of the coveted trophy.

World Cup 18 : Audioslavia

Audioslavia SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC18 29 14 1 1 8 4

There is a long running joke in the World Cup community that Audioslavia will never win the cup; with four finals appearances and no wins, it seems the curse is not without basis. World Cup XVIII saw the Slaves' best performance since their World Cup XII finals loss to Rejistania. They then lost the next two finals to Crystilakere and Vilita, and their final cup saw them lose to Casari. Their consistency and longevity will see them long be considered as one of the best ever footballing nations in the world.

World Cup 19 : Snub Nose 38

Snub Nose 38 SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC18 23 12 3 5 4

Funnily enough, the former nation of Snub Nose 38 never made it past the quarterfinals, and the last cup they ever qualified for was World Cup XVIII. However, they were a popular and old nation, that will always be remembered for their contributions to international football.

World Cup 20 : Commerce Heights

Commerce Heights SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC20 24 12 1 1 1 9

Qualifying was enough to put Commerce Heights into the Hall of Fame, even though they had not moved past the group stage for twenty years. The highlight of their footballing history was, and still is, their win in World Cup XV. Apart from that championship, they have one of the worst records in the World Cup, failing to move past the group stage more than any other nation. Though host nations tend to do well, they didn't even make it into the second round in World Cup XXVI. Nevertheless they have only failed to qualify twice in ninety years, making them a very consistent team.

Fifty Year Award : Errinundera

Errinundera SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC20 34 12 1 1 1 1 6 2

Errinundera still participates in international football, and qualified for World Cup 31 for the first time in 88 years. They are most famous for their win in World Cup VII over Spaam, to whom they lost in the third place match just four years previously. Notable for their near-worship of trees and lack of capital letters in names, they are a favourite opponent of many nations, especially Spaam.

World Cup 21 : The Eagles Nest

The Eagles Nest SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC21 24 10 2 3 2 3

The Eagles Nest made it to the second round of World Cup XXI, after ten straight qualifications, then never qualified again. Their highlight was two consecutive semifinal appearances, in World Cup XV, which they hosted, and the following cup.

World Cup 22 : One Red Dot

One Red Dot SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC22 24 18 1 3 14

One Red Dot's best performance was in World Cup X, which they hosted and made the semifinals. That, and their final World Cup apperance in World Cup XXVI, where they made the quarterfinals, were the only times they made it past the second round. However, in over ninety years, they only failed to qualify once, making them still one of the most qualified nations in history.

World Cup 23 : Kingsford

Kingsford SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC17 23 12 1 1 3 7

It took Kingsford a quarter of a century after the last time they qualified to make it into the Hall of Fame. They are most famous for winning World Cup XIV, which they hosted, and infamous for suffering from Al Quds Syndrome in World Cup VI.

World Cup 24 : Oglethorpia

Oglethorpia SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC24 24 14 4 2 8

Oglethorpia qualified for the last time in World Cup XXIV, over thirty years since the previous time. They never made it past the quarterfinals, though they hosted the cup twice. However they always provided an entertaining match for their fans, and will always be remembered for that.

World Cup 25 : Sarzonia

Sarzonia SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC25 26 7 1 1 1 1 1 2

Sarzonia made the semifinals in World Cup XXV, making it their fourth consecutive semifinals, becoming just the third team to accomplish that feat (after Eauz and Rejistania). They had won World Cup XXII, and made the finals for a second time eight years later. Since then, Sarzonia has never been underestimated.

World Cup 26 : Vilita

Vilita SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC26 25 12 1 2 3 6

Now a vocal part of the football community, Vilita is most famous for their win in World Cup XX over perennial losers Audioslavia. Apart from that time, they have never made it past the quarterfinals, and have not made it past the group stage for over thirty years. Despite that, they are still a team to be respected.

World Cup 27 : Starblaydia

Starblaydia SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC27 28 11 1 1 2 3 4

Starblaydia has come onto the football world with a bang, winning World Cup XXV and denying Rejistania their fifth cup, and finishing third in World Cup XXVII. They then won the following cup, and obtained their third foray into the finals in World Cup xXx, finishing runnerup to none other than Bedistan. After a relatively short time they are already counted as one of the greatest footballing nations of all time, and look only to better themselves.

World Cup 28 : Turori

Turori SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC28 25 11 6 2 3

Turori has made two spots in history; one, for being the first territory of a nation to be inducted into the Hall of Fame (they are part of Vilita), and two, for failing in the quarterfinals more times than any other team. They have never made it past the quarterfinals, but six appearances are enough for them to be inducted. Funnily enough though, they are yet to qualify since World Cup XXVIII.

World Cup 29 : Krytenia

Krytenia SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC29 26 12 2 1 4 5

Krytenia has twice made it into the semifinals, finishing third: World Cup XXIX, and World Cup XXIV. These two cups are also the only ones that have been hosted by Krytenia. Most critics expect Krytenia will do well again when they next host.

World Cup 30 : Tadjikistan

Tadjikistan SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC30 26 14 1 1 7 5

Fairly consistent performers, Tadjikistan finally made it into the semifinals in World Cup xXx, allowing them to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Usually flying under the radar as far as teams go, they are however never underestimated, being able to beat any team on a good day. Most critics predict it is only time before they make it into the finals, and lift the coveted trophy.

World Cup 31 : Crystilakere

Crystilakere SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp

Errinundera SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC34 34 12 1 1 1 1 6 2

Errinundera set a record of sorts in World Cup 36 with 116 years (29 cups) between appearances in the final. One of only seven World Cup Veterans from the formative years of the World Cup still active, the Potoroos have been consistent qualifiers. Their elimination in the second round in five consecutive Cups (WC31-35) may be well be another peculiar record in their keeping.

World Cup 35 : Bettia

Bettia SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC35 27 10 2 1 3 4

Over the years, Bettia has become famous for two things; being leading exponents of the Takilan system of all-out attacking football, and their intense dislike for the colour red. After winning the Baptism of Fire, they slowly progressed through the ranks until they qualified for the World Cup finals at their fourth attempt, making it all the way to the quarter-finals of World Cup 25 before losing out to eventual champions Starblaydia. After that, they struggled to get past the group stages until their big break came in World Cup 32, when they defeated hosts Az-cz 3-1 in the final to lift their first cup. They repeated that feat eight years later, beating Ariddia in the final of World Cup 35 after progressing through the tournament with a 100% record.

World Cup 36 : New Montreal States

New Montreal States SRS Points World Cups 1st 2nd 3rd S/f Q/f R16 Grp
WC32 23 9 1 1 2 2 3

For a long time, New Montreal States were perennial bridesmaids. They made it into the third place playoff in World Cup XI, losing to the legendary Giant Zucchini, but then failed to qualify for over fifty years. They finally had their comeback in World Cup XXV, and reached the pinnacle of their football acheivements when they made the final of World Cup XXXI in Vilita, losing to Squornshelous 3:1. They qualified once more, for the next cup, and then virtually vanished from international football. However, the Hall of Fame would like to recognise a favourite among football fans, albeit a few years late.
