Avareelia celebrates 77 years of independence

Yesterday, December 20, it has been 77 years ago that the Avareelian revolution of 1928 ended with the new country´s official declaration of independence and a first constitution that came into operation to prepare the first national elections.

As in every year, it was the President of State, yesterday, for the second time, Dr. Peter Heid, who held the official Independece Day Speech. Having praised the revolution of 1928 and socialism, Mr. Heid also entered into future Avareelian foreign politics: "The revolution of 1928 is over for a time that is as long as a life of a human being. Only some Avareelians still live who have witnessed this great day, and only some of those can remember it. But neither is the spirit of the revolution forgotten nor are there no more revolutions to take place in future - not here, but in ohter countries, which still exploit the people. It´s our main task to keep the light of socialism, of justice, of equality, that shines in Avareelia since 77 years ago, shining. Let us hold it high, so that even those living far away may see it, let us talk about its warmth loudly, so that even those living far away hear about it, praise it whenever you can, so that all people in the world want to have it. But we must beware of making this fire a fire of war that doesn´t warm, but destroy. A revolution in a country can´t be successful if the country´s people doesn´t want it."

In the presence of the near national elections (January 19, 2006), Mr. Heid thus once more intended to win the people for the Democratic Socialist Party´s policy of a peaceful and self-determined world revolution which is the same policy Avareelians know from the nation´s days in the region of Politikforum.
