Derbaun is a sub-tropical island off the western coast of South America

Derbaun

Durbaun, is an island of the coast of western South America. It has a thriving fish supply in it's rivers and off the coasts, and it has an abundance of produce and livestock. In it's northern hills are the main 3 nations of "The Democratic States of Herals", "The Republic of Isengard Fields" and "The Republic of Durham Fields". The native people, the Heralians, discovered the island in the year 5,000 BC according to records.

History of Derbaun

Discovered in 5,000 BC by the Heralians, Derbaun meaning "Clear Water" is a tropical paradise. It's small continental Government, the "IDCG" (Island of Derbaun's Continental Government) Consists of 3 main countries. Durham Fields, Isangard Fields, and Herals

How the North Was Discovered

In the later years of the second century, in about 1,720, Vikings from what's now of Eastern Russia, were having civil wars, and one tribe of the vikings set sail for conquest in other lands. While sail south, they found the Nothern coast of Derbaun, these vikings were the Vikings of Isengard Plains. They set up what is later to be known as the first stone house in Derbaun.

How The West was Discovered

In the early years of AD, presumably 3 AD, Tribes from whats now French Polynesia, were short of food, and there were great droughts, and so the leaders of the tribes scraped up the last of their resources and set sail from their island. After a 10 mile journey heading northwest, they presumably saw what's now called Rock Hopper Hill, the tallest hill in Derbaun. They landed on the island and set up a hamlet out of bamboo sticks, and later called their land "Fieleds of Durham" And then, in the late 17 century, the decedents renamed their National government, "The Republic of the Fields of Durham" after previously being called "The Ger-Nausuki" tribe.

How The East was Discovered

In the mid months of 5,000 BC, an ancient Mayan tribe, the "Herals" Tribe was in great hunger after other tribes had raided their supply routes that brang them food. In A desperate attempt to save themselves they went to their only tribe-friend, the "Heya-Haye koroman" Tribe, meaning "Sun-Sun Prevail-Prevail". The tribe offered them charts from an 7th century BC explorer who had spotted an island to the west. In return the "Herals" Meaning Red Herring would give up all their towns and villages. The Herals agreed and set sail for the ancient Explorers Island. On the journey 5 casualties due to starvation occurred, but when they arrived at the fruit-full island they rejoiced and made their first two towns, "Freagermad" Meaning Fruit of the plentiful and "Refsimad" meaning Fish of the Plentiful

The Geography of Derbaun ranges from Hills to plains, to platueas!

Central Derbaunian Geography

Amidst the tall jungle trees, and the lush growth on the damp floor of Central Derbaun, you wouldn't Exactly think that you were on a plateau. That's right. A 20 foot high plateau. Stretching from Isengard (See Cities) down to Gertrude, a lush jungle sits on a large plateau, The 'Algerian Majesty' as it is called bye the Herals.

Northern Derbaunian Geography

In the north of Derbaun lies the 3 main cities of It's 3 founders. The cities are also the capitals of each country. Located on hills, the cities are 'Rashbhkint'-ROFI 'Durham'-ROFD 'Pauritin'-UDSH The Hills are covered with grass, and deciduous forests.

Southern, Eastern, Western Derbaunian Geography

In the South, East, And west areas of Derbaun, there are many natural aquatic features. Including the Fern Delta, which takes up the southern part. In the Eastern area there are many Small islands, and small Jungle Sections. In the west, there are some rivers and deciduous forests.
