Obviously, if you're reading this you'd like to know some more about me. I can offer some things, but I've been told that details will threaten our Nation's security. I'm sorry for this, but my people take priority over me.
To begin, I was born in the mountain city of Atreyu. It was harsh, then. The technology we had was not yet sufficiant enough to support us in a large way. We mostly lived in huts! Even with this, I managed to get an education. My Father taught me everything: Math, Galactic Basic, Technology...but more importantly, Pazzaak, how to wield a Lightsaber, and how to drink as much Tarisian Ale as possible and not pass-out. The first Univerity in all of The Republic was created right in Atreyu! I enrolled there when I was just 16, and stayed there till I was 20. At that age, I was spotted as having Force abilities.
I was transfered to the Jedi Temple in Kasar City. There, I was trained in the Force, and was proclaimed a Jedi when I was just 25. It was at the Temples that I started getting interested in Politics. Kasar City is the most beautiful place in all of The Republic. It was the perfect place for the Captial.
Most of the Younger Jedi weren't interested in the comings and goings of the Politicians, but I was. I saw that they did not act as they said they would, in many, many, occasions. This confused me; People should always do what they say they're going to do. I decided when I was 26 that I would try to run for office.
I decided to run for Mayor of Kasar City. I knew it wouldn't be easy; I was a Jedi. The Force is not generally accepted anymore. Most Followers live in the Mountains, where I came from. The Temple in Kasar City was looked on in disgust. I ran though, and I told the truth. I was honest, and I was just who I was. I did not avoid preaching of the Force...but I did not force on those who came to see me speak. My opponent was an angry man, and all he did was proclaim my faults. He ranted and raved about the fact that such compassion is dangerous. That my religion, my Faith, was the cause of my weakness. I believe this was his fault, and it would happen again.
I became Mayor of Kasar City with only 54% of the vote. I was carefull in reaching out to citizens, because, I didn't want to anger them. It had been bitter, but I tried to win them over by allowing several big business groups into Kasar City. It worked; The Economy in Kasar was soaring, and the people were happy. I tried to regulate the businesses as much as possible, in order to help the people. They did well, but mostly because of the massive amounts of trade that goes on in Kasar.
When I was 30, something happen in The Republic. The large, Right-Wing Government was collapsing in on itself. Government officals were being killed off left and right, and the country was turning to Anarchy. The details of why The Fall happened are things I can not discuss with you, unfortunatly. What I can tell you, is that I had become both leader of Kasar, and the leader of the Temple. I constructed an army of Jedi and common men to help me seize the Capital, to restore order. I only did this because the people were crying out to me. The people of Kasar demanded order;They demanded the right to live peacefully in their homes. I could not ignore them. We marched on the Capital together, and reclaimed what was rightfully ours.
I took control of the Government, but only temporarily. I restored much needed order to the Government. We calmed rioters, and tried to repay those who had lost so much. We asked the private sector of country to help with this, and they happily complied. I have heard this was because they were trying for my favor. They had heard that I was not friendly with businesses. But I tend to believe it was The Force acting through them.
When I got the Government back together, I decided it was time for elections. I stepped down, but was encouraged by the Temple Order to run for office. They had said that this was the will of The Force, and I complied completely, as I should.
I was elected in a landslide, the biggest the country had ever seen. It was apparent that my heriocs had granted me Legendary status.
It has been two years since I was first elected. Four years since The Fall. The Economy is good, I have increased Civil Rights ten fold, and I have made ground on expanding Politcal Freedom.
