Desartha is a large nation consisting of many groups of people. When founded it was a socialist democratic state. However as it grew it became more capitalistic and authoritarian. However it never forgot its socialist roots and despite the fact that it lacked elections and any political freedoms or voice for the people, the new dictator continued to let them live their lives much as they had for before.
