The Dos Santos Aveiro-Medici family is one of the most important families in the Nationstates World Regions (NWR). As the family from which all Catholic European Pope-Emperors are selected, it is the leading power in Catholic Europe and the Genesian Catholic Church, and plays a profound role in the politics of the wider world, both Catholic and non-Catholic.

In addition to holding the Papacy, the family has marriage relations with other nations' royal dynasties. The reigning dynasties of Chirondom, Norightsia, and Nag Ehgoeg have intermarried with Catholic European princesses, and New Harumf is ruled directly by a branch of the Dos Santos Aveiro-Medici family.
