A Brief History

Dovakhan in ancient times was made up of a few tribes (called kânäts), the Mârîâns, the Altêâns, and the Dövâks(named after the local goddess Dövâkîâ, who appeared to the first kahn in a dream). These tribes warred with eachother and the neighbouring Kâzâkövs, the Zâzövs, and the Bövs. Finally, the three tribes were united under one great Khan, MîöMïö (a Dövâk) who took his permanant capital at the waterfall city of Âpölîstîânâ (A more universal name for Dovakia). MîöMïö gained hero status when he defended the united tribes against Zâzövs and Kâzâkövs united. The United tribes (now called Dovakhan) became the most powerful people in the region.

After MîöMïö's death, the tribes entered a time of trouble, because MîöMïö had no heirs. The ruler ended up being MîöMïö's sister until her death, then from that time on, all rulers of Dovakhan were her heirs.

Dovakhan was ruled by Khans for centuries. After the capture of Zâzöv, Kâzâköw, and Böv, Dovakhan became the Empire of the Sun and Moon under a supreme emperor seated in the capital of Apolistiana.

The emperors were tolerated by the common people for many years until one reign. The Emperor Konstantin emposed more taxes than any other emperor or khan in history and created a secret police to monitor the people and arrest political dissidents. These frustration culminated in the siege of the capital by the workers army. The revolution had been in the works for decades, but the revoutionaries saw it was time when Konstantin began to seaze farms from landowners. A famous story is that a secretary named Mari Kaar ran 30 kilometres give the red letter to start the isurection to the planner in Apolistiana (Martin Kaar, her husband)

So began the 20 years of communism. It wasn't actually communism, but a collective oligarcy, a new sun and moon empire.

Then, a time of dictatorship came to Dovakhan, under the General Aktuna. He promised to bring economic renewal to his new state. He turned out to be worse than Konstantin or any of the communist Primiers.

The empire was revived fifteen years later, the people were just happy to have normanlcy. Then, the people were discontent again. Riots broke out all over the country. Finnally, 1000 people gathered in the Imperial Apolista Square with a petition of 30 million calling for the dissolution of the Empire into independant and free states. The leader, Maximillian Richelli, negotiated the acceptance of the treaty. The treaty stated that the empire would divide into the states of Dovakahn, Bovakhan, Zazovia, and Kazakovikhan. These states would be free until such a time in which the people don't participate in the government anymore then the emperor would take back control, also Apolistiana would stay under Imperial control. The transitonal governments and arragements were worked out in purpose-built negotiation village called Interima.

Dovakhan, now independant, looks to a bright new future!

And now Dovakhan is really communist after a short capital-market republic. What is that you say? Dovakhan is politically unstable? SHUT UP YOU ANTI-DOVAKHANESE POOPY HEAD!

Military

The government has restored the Army of the Republic and the Republican Guard (national police). The communal militias have been dissovled (permanent militia members used to act as the police force, whereas reserve militia members used act as defence force when neccesary) which every willing citizen (man or women) would be in. There is an emergancy organisation (The Dovakhanese Green Crescent).

Here is a list of the average militia arsenal:

  • Enough SFFD-A101 (Like an AK-47) and ammo for each militia member
  • 2 to 3 SFD-B3 Tanks
  • Several SFFD-D223 Rocket Launchers and SFFD-C399 Bazookas
  • Several armoured vans

(All weapons are Dovakhanese-made)

The police and militias were coordinated by the Dovakhanese Direction for Security, who also is rumored to have had relations with «Sovup Dovakia». «Sovup Dovakia» (Our Lady of Dovakhan), officially an independant «rebel» force, Sovup Dovakia recieved milliards/billions of Dovs each year (written down as administrative costs) and used to conduct many «rebel operations» each year.

Economy

The People's Republic itself doesn't regulate the economy but a little. It is the majority of the people that have formed industrial, agricultural, and service collectives (collective organisations are in small towns, villages, city districts, etc.; all the people in a collective live around eachother).

The economy is mostly barter-based with collective monetary stores that the collective allots to its members, except for those capitalist communities (few and far between these days, the largest is Tschmushaboomtopolis) that still have citizens carry the New Dov. The government deals with the collectives as a single citizen in terms of taxing.

For this reason, corporations are nationalised, and electric co-ops are the main source of power.
