Drayce Riggens, the son of famed Brunstone goalie Ivan Riggens, has established himself as the primary goaltender for the Brunstone Grizzlies. Breaking into the Pearson Cliffs Football Association at the age of 20 he showed himself to be of the same calibre as his father during his rookie season leading the Grizzlies to a title in 2001.
In his second year he was nearly unstoppable however in the championship game in 2002 was outclassed by Westview Pitbull's goalie London Goreway who held onto a shutout while Riggens was beat by a golden goal in overtime in one of the most thrilling matches in PopularFreedom football history.
His third season in the league was filled with questions and problems as the Grizzlies played poorly throughout most of their games. In 2004 however Riggens regained his form and was able to once again lead his Grizzlies to victory. At age 24 he seems to have finally matured and hopefully will be able to step out from his father's shadow and carve his own identity.
