Dreaming

The dreaming is a realm of possibility where all the dreams of sentient beings find their own reality. It is inhabited by an array of beings as diverse and fantastic as the limits of the imagination. The dreaming is the homeland to the race of Fae and somewhere in its depth hides the fabled kingdom of Arcadia where fairy lords of unfathomed power reign in splendor beyond the telling.

Because the dreaming is the native realm of the Fae, their strengths and weaknesses both increase the deeper they travel into the dreaming, becoming more themselves. Technology (except technology based on or at least overlaid with Gematria) does not function in the dreaming as the very rules of physics are different and more fantastical. Magic other than dream-magic or draocht does work but the effects are unpredictable and the laws of magic which might apply elsewhere cannot be relied upon.

While the dreaming is theoretically without limit and accessible anywhere in the multiverse, the only area of the dreaming which is claimed by any sovereign state or which interacts with the Waking World to any significant extent is the Grand Duchy of Garmar, one of the states of the Resurgent Dream.
