Dystorium
Dystorium is a daily pharmaceutical injection taken by every member of Soviet society. Originally developed by Dr. Vasceyslav Kamev of the Social Health Research Bureau (a joint bureau formed between the Public Health and Social Security Commissariats). It has been proven to help combat many - if not all - diseases that currently inhabit earth. It is also proven to help combat the onset of several severe diseases that otherwise prove fatal.

Research and development
In 1967, the Public Health and Social Security Commissariats formed the Social Health Research Bureau to research and develop so-called super-medicines to help cure and prevent diseases within the Soviet population. It took six arduous years before a prototype was developed and able to be tested.
The first prototype was given the name Serum 117. Testing of Serum 117 was underwent on both primates and volunteering inmates for 'good ethics credits'. Testing showed signs of failure almost immediately. Post-injection volunteers experienced massive amounts of brain trauma involving hallucinations and seizures. Volunteers described violent hallucinations involving murder, rape, and other vile acts. Testing immediately ceased and Serum 117 was withdrawn from research.
By 1979 a new pharmaceutical was ready for testing labeled Fakitol. Fakitol experimentation volunteers initially experienced high periods of euphoria, immune system stimulation, and defense against many common diseases and deficiencies. However, soon after trials we completed and Fakitol (generic name for fakalthanol eutopiata) was ready to be released, members of the experimentation groups began to commit suicide. Other members became diagnosed with lupus erythematosus. Fakitol was pulled from development and recalled into research phases.
In 1987, Dystorium (dystortia eutopiaoxide) was tested amongst volunteers in the city of Leningrad. It proved to boost immune system abilities, prevent major diseases, and cure common illnesses. It also went beyond expectations and began improving other deficiencies considered hopeless or purely genetic (such as eyesight, hemoglobin deficiencies, inactive brain capacity, etc). Dystorium was approved and began development in 1990. It has been introduced into the Soviet populace since 2000, and in early 2006 was a mandated, daily injection for all Soviet citizens.
In 2006, an updated - although retaining the same name - version of Dystorium began to appear in Laurasia. This version actively began supressing the highs and lows of human emotion. This is part of a new policy within the Laurasian government that has began to attempt to destroy human feeling and emotion which leads to rage, hate, and dissent.
Initial dosage
Each Soviet citizen (at birth if born after January 3, 2006) undergoes a series of genetic and medical testing to determine the appropriate dose of Dystorium for their specific needs. These tests include: genetic background, hemoglobin counts, biopsy, nervous system capacity, cerebral capacity, etc.
Within a week of initial testing, the tested citizen is called and told to come in for a final medical check-up at their local health clinic. They are given a form to fill out including contact information, parent history, etc. and are given a monthly supply of Dystorium. They are also given a time to return for Dystorium injection refills and further testing.
Dystorium injection enforcement
On January 3, 2006, the Political Bureau and Supreme Soviet made it a legal mandate to take Dystorium injections on a daily basis. This is enforced by local milisiya (police) forces and the Federative Central Government if necessary. The enforcement of Dystorium injections falls under the jurisdiction of the Commissariat of the Interior.
Due to the initial back-lash for mandated prescription injections, a test was developed to insure a person is taking their regulated dose of Dystorium Due to the tracking of doses, the Social Health Research Bureau was able to develop a test that measure a tracing agent in Dystorium that is present in an individuals breathe and hemoglobin. An individual either takes a test similar to a breathalyser or takes a blood test to confirm injection.
Controversy
Nations such as Pacitalia, Roach-Busters, and Parthia have called the mandate of taking Dystorium an attempt at social engineering, emotion altering (Causing the destruction of feelings such as rage and hate, and filling the individual with a constant since of peace and euphoria in order to hide certain situations from the public), and even eugenics. The Political Bureau has denied all accusations.
The nation of Delta Green has made a particular biting program against Dystorium. The Commission of Public Information has released an informational film which details specifically the ingredients of Dystorium. It contrasts this with the recreational narcotics that are sanctioned by the government and are available at the State Committees. It showed the inferiority the drug had to Delta Green drugs. Despite this, Dystorium has become popular in the narcotic black market.
Recently, a film from an independent Pacitalian film-studio stated that Dystorium is used as a psychoactive, sedative suppressant. The film stated that ingredients in Dystorium suppress sexual desire in those deemed 'unnecessary for human evolution and social progress', suppress political dissent, and even severe high-brain functioning such as philosophical thought. These too have been denied by the Soviet Federative Central Government.
Proof
After the Soviet Reformation and the creation of Laurasia, documents were stolen that gave the real purpose behind Dystorium. Within these documents detailed programs implemented ages before the Reformation which were used to prepare the country and government for the re-organizing of the State. Dystorium played a big role in this process by:
- Sedating much of the population.
- Inserting a false state of euphoria into users.
- Creating and breaking intelligence barriers allowing for government officials to socially engineer the population.
- Making citizens more accepting of ever-more extravagent propaganda.
These are some of the real effects Dystorium has upon individuals; yet, due mostly to international laws, nations cannot intervene and break national sovereignty laws. Thus, the new state of Laurasia mandates the injecting of Dystorium among Outer Party and Plebeian citizens.
Dystorium banning
Several governments have banned the use of Dystorium in their country for one reason or another. The following is a list of nations that have banned Dystorium use or manufacter:
