The Eastern Keeslands comprise of the easternmost peninsula of mainland IDU, southeast of the Granveo Mountains and the group of islands off of the northeastern coast of the mainland IDU.

The Eastern Keeslands are bounded to the north by the ??? Ocean, to the west by the ??? Ocean, to the south by the ??? Ocean, and to the southeast by the waterways adjoining the ??? Ocean to and including Kernow Lake and the Granveo Mountains. On the east, is is divided from the [Keeslands]] by the Granveo ridge and to the southeast from the Malabras by water divide of the ??? Bay and by the ??? Ocean.

The Eastern Keeslands – are home to 4 IDU member states with an estimated population of 10.7billion, along with other various polities.

Etymology

Geography

The Eastern Keeslands

Physiographically, the Eastern Keeslands are the northeastern constituent of the larger landmass known as the IDU mainland: many other geographical regions occupy the western bulk of this continuous landmass and all share a common continental shelf. The Eastern Keeslands' western frontier is now commonly delineated by the Granveo Mountains in Antrium. The south-west boundary with the Malabras is not universally defined. Most commonly the Fonz River serves as a possible boundary. The boundary continues east to the Bay of Tomar, and north to the St. Sebastien River and Granveo ridge. However, numerous geographers consider South Antrium and Fonzolands southern border as the boundary between the Eastern Keesllands and the Malabras because of political and cultural considerations. The ???? Ocean and Devil Straight to the south separates the Eastern Keeslands from the Southern Continent. The eastern boundary is the ??? Ocean; Pebulia and Kedalfax, though nearer to the Keeslands than the the eastern mainland peninsula, is generally included in as part of the Eastern Keeslands.

Due to sociopolitical and cultural differences, there are various descriptions of the East Keeslands boundary; in some views, all of Antrium is part of the Eastern Keeslands and that Pebulia and Kedalfax are part of the Keeslands, while other sources suggest that the Granveo Moutains provide a natural geological seperation of regions and that the island nations are east of mainland Keeslandia and so form a part of the Eastern Keeslands.

Physical Geography

Land relief in the Eastern Keeslands shows great variation within relatively small areas. The central regions, however, are more mountainous, while moving out the terrain descends from the high Granveo, Hiel and Cadarra, through hilly uplands, into broad, low northern plains, which are vast in the east. This extended lowland along the north coast of the eastern mainland peninsula is known as the Great Alvesin Plain, and at its heart lies the Qu'Maen Plains. An arc of uplands also exists along the south-western seaboard, beginning in Gnejs and Silures and continuing along the mountainous ??? Bay.

This description is simplified. Polities such as Antrium and Gnejs contain their own complex features, as does the mainland IDU itself, where the relief contains many plateaus, river valleys and basins that complicate the general trend. Pebulia and Kedalfax are special cases. They are lands unto themselves which are counted as part of the Eastern Keeslands, while they are also upland areas that were once joined to the mainland Keeslands until rising sea levels cut them off.
