The Ecologist Union

Preamble:

The Ecologist Union embraces the diversity of all people, their culture, languages, identity and their economic and political systems. Although diverse we draw strength from this spectrum of opinions and identities and remain united around our central tenants of a co-operative organisation of states for the elimination of humanitarian suffering, ecological degradation and democracy.

Ideological Aims:

1] The rejection of capitalism as an exploitative system of dividing communities between the owners of capital and labour. Profit maximisation will always subvert the interests the greater community, social integrity and the environment because capitalism strives to privatise gain and socialise costs.

2] The likewise rejection of traditional socialist philosophy as a system that focuses on the question of [i]who[/i] produces what and [i]how[/i] it is distributed rather than critiquing [i]what[/i] is produced and [i]why[/i].

3] The affirmation of democratic governance as the only legitimate means of empowering communities to direct their own resources, welfare and destiny.

4] The acceptance of the diversity, autonomy of groups, communities and peoples within member nations.

5] The acceptance of the diversity of economic, social and democratic models of welfare distribution, economic development and community identity formation within an organisational framework that directs sustainable development towards the egalitarian distribution of goods and other benefits amongst all citizens and their communities.

6] Acceptance of the pursuit of peace, non-violence, disarmament, social justice, sustainable ecological and economic development and democracy as the cornerstone of membership to the Ecologist Union.

Material Aims:

1] The Ecologist Union is a democratic organisation, all policy formation and formal representation will be directed by popular consent of members.

2] The Ecologist Union is dedicated to the co-operation and mutual sharing of resources to eliminate humanitarian and ecological grievances.

3] The Ecologist Union is open to the provision of mutual voluntary military assistance in the event of hostile invasion and occupation of a member state.

4] The Ecologist Union will co-operate to pursue the global resistance to capitalism, authoritarianism, fascism and traditional industrial socialism.

5] The Ecologist Union will emphasise dialogue and discussion between member states to facilitate understanding and innovation in achieving the goals of the Ecologist nation.

6] the Ecologist Union will facilitate trade and finance relationships through this dialogue as a means of funding national and trans-national sustainable development programs as well as developing the programs and institutions necessary to resist dependence on ideologically foreign organisations.

Members
