Economy of Footballia

General Information

The economy is considered the most important part of the Empire. The economy is mostly dependent on the nation, with little foreign trade. Much of the province of Oberepyun is given over to industry, especially the capital of Loçñalkyo. Officially, the government is not involved in businesses, however, several of the large corporations (Cerberus Weapons Corporation, Electronics of Footballia, Footballian Imperial Media and Footballian Uranium Corporation) are run by government officials, and the government uses these giants to squash any companies that go against it. Monopolies are encouraged, and even without government interference, large corporations gobble up smaller businesses daily.

Communication and Infrastructure

Footballia contains many highways and rails. There is network of national highways that goes to every medium-size city, and these are very efficient. The rail system uses above- and below-ground rails exclusively, and magnetic tracks. There is also an efficient national taxi network, as well as a bus network.

Footballian Airlines is the only airline in the nation. It has ordered many of the new AirBus planes to use to transport people across the nation.

Electronics of Footballia has a monopoly on providing internet service, and people use the browser Pioneer almost exclusively. The national fix is ".gf"
