General Information

Education is compulsory for children ages 3-18. However, a permit can be gained from the government (only in exceptional circumstances, i.e. on a farm) to home-school the children. Education is considered important, and each public school is carefully inspected to ensure it lives up to the standards of Footballian education. Until the Age 15 Group, boys and girls have separate classes. The language that school is taught in is Footballian, although many provincial schools also teach in the native language, though more and more are steering away from that.

Primary School

Primary school consists of children from 3-11. This is divided into two sections, Rñ-Prç (Pre-School) and Rñ-Toqar (Elementary School). Rñ-Prç contains three Age Groups, 3, 4 and 5, and Rñ-Toqar contains six, 6-11. The children are introduced to spelling and reading basic words in Rñ-Prç and more advanced words in Age Group 6. They begin math in 7, and reasoning skills in 9. Foreign languages may be taken as early as 6, although they are not compulsory until 8. The sciences begin in 7, and history begins in 10.

Secondary School

Secondary school is divided into two more sections, Rñ-Midl (Middle School), which contains Age Groups 12-14, and Rñ-Ey (High School), containing groups 15-18. Age Group 12 expands on what was learned in Rñ-Toqar, while introducing electives. In Age Group 13, parents and children decide whether they want to take part in the Business, Scientific, or Basic Groups from 14-18. The Business Group focuses on giving kids the skills they need to become successful businessmen, the Science Group on giving them mathematical and scientific skills, and Basic on the basic skills they need for the world.

University

Universities are not compulsory, nor are they free. Public universities are less expensive, but do not offer the same degree of learning of the more expensive private universities. There are four types of public universities, Business, Science, Training and Basic. Business and Science Universities require a diploma from the same form of secondary education, and expand on what was learned in the past years. Basic universities require merely a Rñ-Ey diploma, it does not matter which kind. These offer a wide variety of choices. Training universities offer the same learning as was learned in the Science or Business Rñ-Ey. This is often for those who do not like what they chose in Age Group 13. Private Universities, like private schools, may offer whatever they like.

Private School

Private schools are expensive, but often with a higher standard of learning. Most of these do not offer a Rñ-Prç. Thus, many private school children were in the public system for a few years. Private schools usually follow the same order as public schools, although some are designed specifically for a type of learning.
