Emperor Boston was born on the 1st December 1986. As with Bostopian tradition, he became Head of State on his 16th birthday, on the 1st of December 2002, but he was not coronated until the 1st of July, after he had completed his exams. The two calender weeks which include Bostopia day on the 27th June, and Coronation Day on the 1st of July, are now celebrated as a national holiday.
He has presided over some of the more memorable moments in Bostopian history, such as the firing of 10 conventional ICBM's at Vladmiristak. The oncoming war led to his disposal from power, and the establishment of the United Socialist States of Bostopia.
However, this was short lived, and Emperor Boston returned in triumph. He now aims to promote Regional development, aiding the setting up of the Treaty of Fort Boston, which became FIDA, and also the United Free Republics Regional Council along with other heads of state.
He resides in Fort Boston Castle, Fort Boston, Bostopia, and is married to Christine Boston, a childhood sweetheart. However, if the Emperor's family tree was traced back, it would meet with the Palmer family line when in 1783, the then Emperor Boston met with a Miss Palmer, who produced a child some years later. The current Emperor Boston claims that it was so far back, any children produced with his wife is not inbreeding, and "the woman in 1783 would be Christine's Great-Great-Great-Great-Aunt anyway, she's not a direct descendant as such".
Biography
Early Life
Emperor Boston was born in Fort Boston Castle on the 1st December 1986. From an early age, he was involved with the ceremonies and pagentry involved with the Bostopian Monarchy, most likely to normalise the situation for his eventual accension to the throne in 2002. At 4 years of age, he was enrolled into the Naerson Infants and Junior School in Fort Boston, as it provided the best education in the country for those aged 4 to 11. Naerson was also used by celebrities and other members of the Royal House for the education of their children.
Boston took the Bostopian Middle Exam in Year 6, his seventh - and last - year of education at Naerson, having progressed into the Junior School at the start of Year 4. Boston passed the Middle Exam to the standard required to get him into the highest of the three tiers of Bostopian Middle Education, excelling in History and Geography, though he was put into a Maths class equivalent to that of the middle tier.
He was entered into the Macmairn Grammar School, where he studied the mandatory Bostopian (English), Geography, History, Maths and the three Sciences (Combined Science), along with PE lessons, where he played Rugball and Football. He chose to study Vladmiristaki as his modern language, and took Computing for the required technology subject.
During this time, Boston also completed the Mandatory Militia Training, excelling in Reconnaissance and Tank Warfare. As he was at Grammar School, he was also expected to take a Tactical Planning Course, along with Morale Building and Troop Leading. He again excelled in these, though his tactics for defending the nation following an enemy invasion were deemed "questionable" by those teaching him. However, as he had already turned 16, and was Emperor and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, his teachers could not actually disagree with what he planned, and his defense plans were took into today's military.
Boston took his final exams at the age of 16 in 2003, (already Emperor of Bostopia) and did favourably in all subjects, achieving A's in Computing, History, Geography and Vladmiristaki. He achieved B's in Bostopian and Combined Science. A C grade was awarded in Maths, which he described as an "achievement", after expecting a D.
Dyspraxia
Boston was diagnosed with Dyspraxia at the age of 2, and, while being an early walker and talker, knowing his colours and alphabet before starting school, he had problems with his motor-skills, and attended speech and physio-therapy well into his Primary School years. However, this has not affected him into adult life, except that he has trouble sleeping due to an inability to "turn his mind off".
Accession to the Throne
Following Coronation on the 1st of July, Emperor Boston proceeded to shape the nation into the image he wished it to portray. While a highly militaristic nation, with proud traditions, Emperor Boston gave the country a more liberal, open, feel to it, while retaining the traditions of Bostopia in their whole.
Boston was responsible for the creation of 8 new states in Bostopia, with Fenton becoming the first mandatory-nude state.
Marriage
Emperor Boston was married to Christine Palmer on the 6th of March 2006, in a grand state wedding, attended by dignitaries from over the region, including Dr.Vlad of Vladmiristak; Skinner of Chikoo; Ian, Leader of Outer Sygon among others.
