Annabelle Bragg (b.Sept 12th 1968), Empress Annabelle of the Holy Stiloan Empire of Kokomy (Oct 2005- Jan 2006), was born in Abestadt in Southern Kokomy, now a bordertown with Mucche Pazze. Bragg joined the Peoples Army in 1986 at age 18. Bragg was dishonourably discharged in 1998 for plotting to disobey the orders of President Ani Itsyn. When Persephone Rosa (see: Chairperson Rosa) became Chairperson in 2005 she disbanded the military, giving Bragg an instant support base of unemployed and angry former-soldiers. Combining this with support from Monarchist groups who needed a new figurehead after the deaths of Queen Alexandra, Prince Nicholas, and Csar Kari and the exile of Prince Alexei to Mhaibodia.

In the early hours of Monday morning on the 31st October 2005 Annabelle Bragg, now a self titled 'General', led hundreds of former soldiers to storm the Palais de Republique and arrest Chairperson Rosa. Key institutions were seized and later that day the Mayor of Koko proclaimed Bragg 'Empress Annabelle of Kokomy.'

Annabelle successfully waged war against Mucche Pazze and Land of Serenity, as well as annexing Rulgaria and Balkedonie. The Congress of Unions was disbanded but the Parliament remained, with little power.

In January 2006 Bragg was murdered by Mucche Pazzeian agents, and a popular revolution then brought ousted Chairperson Rosa back into power. The Empire died with the Empress.

Quotes

  • Speech at Koko City Hall upon her coronation, 31st October 2005:

"Kokomians, thank you. Today I am here to tell you that the Second Republic of Kokomy is dead. It has outlived its use, its time and its validity. And so I pronounce a new Republic of Kokomy, the Third Republic. It is time that Kokomy once again has a strong leader who can lead this great nation to victory against our enemies, who threaten us more and more each day. The war against Land of Serenity is only the beginning of aggressions against us. They will not rest until we are nation of slaves, or living in anarchy live the Tunisieans."
