Empress Christine Boston is the wife of Emperor Boston, the current Head of State of Bostopia.

She has held brief periods as Head of State while Emperor Boston has been missing, and then medically incapable of holding office, following an incident in a building which had been bombed. The Palmer family is renowned as being the second-wealthiest family in Bostopia, behind only the Royal Family, mainly due to Palmer ties to the Bostopian Royal Family from the earliest days of the country.

Biography

Early Life

Christine Palmer was born in Fairsdale, a wealthy area of Pinton, Caflin State, on the 19th of March 1987. Being brought up in a prestigious family, she knew the best upbringing a child in Bostopia could have. She was enrolled into the Fairsdale Infants and Juniors School, the same school as Bostopia F1 star Adam Teraining. Fairsdale Infants and Juniors had been used by the Palmer family to send their children for many generations, after it was set up in 1781 with money from the Palmer family.

In Year 6, - her 7th year of education - Christine took the Bostopian Middle Exam, earning herself a score high enough to enter Grammar School - much to the shock of her teachers, who thought of her as only useful for fashion advice, and entered the Ravencastle Grammar School, half an hour's walk from her house in Pinton. Though she only ever walked home from school on one occasion, in Year 10, which turned out to be a fateful trip.

She took Bostopian Language & Literature, History, Geography, Maths, Vladmiristaki and Metalwork as her required subjects. While many thought this odd for a girl to take, let alone one with such high social standing. However, Emperor Boston has often cryptically said "it paid off". She also took PE, preferring cross-country running to the contact sports, though it is now known she often took a shortcut through the course, and sunbathed - or took shelter in rain - for a while until the rest of the class "caught up" with her. It is assumed that the teacher knew about this, but made to effort to discipline her due to her standing.

During her Militia Training, she took Tactical Planning, Morale Building, Troop Leading (as required for Grammar School Students), excelling in the Reconnaissance field.

"The Walk with Destiny"

In what has now been dubbed as "The Walk with Destiny" by the Bostopian press, especially the Daily Mail, this refers to the one occasion Christine Palmer ever walked home from school. At the start of Year 10, following another cross-country lesson spent tanning herself, she decided that she may as well walk home, because "the car had been washed that morning, and last time that happened, I so totally got sun glare right in my eye, and it hurt like so bad!".

Meanwhile, Emperor Boston - though not technically Emperor at this point, as he was only 14 still - had been touring Caflin, and had stopped in Fairsdale to scout potential locations for a home out of the media spotlight when he was made Emperor, and wanted a rest from Fort Boston Castle. As fate would have it, Boston and Christine had walked into the same road at the same time, though at different ends. As they got closer, Boston managed to catch the eye of Christine (eyewitnesses reported he walked into a lamppost), and they started talking (she apparently ran over to see if he was ok). Due to a media-blackout on showing images of the next Emperor or Empress while they were still in school, Christine had no idea who she was talking to (not an uncommon occurance), and she ended up inviting him back to her house, to make sure he was ok.

Aged 15+

Christine took her final exams aged 16, achieving A's in Bostopian Language, Bostopian Literature, Geography, History, Metalwork and Vladmiristaki (though this has slipped according to Dr.Vlad), with B's in Maths and the Combined Sciences.

Throughout most of Year 10, while she was seeing Boston she was not aware of his true background, though her parents have come forward saying they knew exactly who he was. However, just after her 15th birthday, Boston told her of his true standing. From what is known, she took it rather well, only hitting him a couple of times, before thanking him for telling her. This did not appear to have much of an impact on their relationship, though friends said she talked about her boyfriend less. The next time her friends saw them together was on the day of Emperor Boston's coronation.

It was obvious from the start of their relationship that the two were well suited, yet rather different. Boston, while being eccentric and rather odd, while also being into sport, was heavily contrasted by his fashion-obsessed partner. However, Boston often commented that she was the perfect blend, a "girly girl most of the time, but she has brains too". Christine however, found Boston to be a added spark in life, "I never know what to expect tomorrow, it's like, he's so totally random, but like so much fun."

Following their marriage on the 6th of March 2006, Christine was Head of State for 4 weeks, and often makes phone calls to other heads of state, her personal favourite being "Mr.Vladdy", though the feeling is not expected to be mutual.
