Geography
Location
Installed in the north - western confines of The Reich, and conterminous to the relatively and respectively, southern and eastern localities, Rose-Teresa and Yuropeein Reich, exists the demesne, constituting The National Zionist Empire of Endless Crimes bound by the ocean at the western and northern extremities.
Characteristics
Endless Crimes has a rather diverse geographic structure. The north-west and the east hinterland are dominated by mountain ranges, the highest mountains reaching up to 3000 meters and more, while the south and the south-west, as well as a small area in the north, between the two mountain ranges, are wide, open plains, centers of agriculture.
The weather isn't exactly beautiful, the massive mountain ranges resulting in a lot of precipitation, yet, this is one of the reasons for Endless Crimes relative wealth, not suffering from desert semblable weather conditions.
Temperatures differ between -30 & +30 °C, depending on the time of the year and the region.
Environment
The environment is simple enough, comparable to middle european characteristics, although the government doesn't seem to be interested in the preservation of the environment as a whole. Various preying species, from snakes over wolves to foxes and others, have been eradicated in an attempt to remove the sinful creations in order to recreate eden.
Yet, there are areas where everything is done to prevent the (otherwise omnipresent) destruction of the environment, with beautiful seas and woods, with birds and deers being around. This areas are an oddity, based on the ruling class' desire to recreate eden. Yet, they are tiny and insignificant, compared to the vast amounts of destruction and the enormous wastelands created by EC's constant struggle to increase its own capacities.
Economy
EC's economy is based on one, and only one, desire. Produce guns in order to spread the truth of the faith over the world. Everything else is irrelevant. This, together with EC's social structure and ideology, results in the common people being nothing more than a means to allow the ruling classes to prosper and to expand, despite the official ideology claiming the opposite.
The Reich itself is the only actual foreign market, as well as ressource, for EC. Economic relations with the rest of the world are, at best, rare. Nonetheless, the economy 'prospers'. Of course, not in a way that would be comparable to open societies like The most Glorious Hack, but it fits the needs and desires of Endless Crimes.
Major sectors are Automobile Manufacturing, Uranium Mining and Arms Manufacturing, obviously sectors more than usable for EC's military elite. Nonetheless, basically all industrial sectors are, in fact, amoung the largest of the world, although one can (Rightfully) claim that the quality of the goods produced lacks more often than not.
Education
The kind of Education EC citizens receive depends on their class.
Commoners receive basic education. That is, an education mainly based on ideological (Religious and ethnic) indoctrination, as well as the development of basic skills necessary for the industry.
Cherubim Are the military elite. Apart from a (More complex and elitist) indoctrination, they also receive military training from the age of three on, a training that, one might add, is quite lethal for many of them, even before they are actually deployed on the battlefield.
Seraphim are the elite. Extreme indoctrination and the build up of elitist ideas, they are meant to be the ruling class. The focus is on administrative training and literature (They are, after all, the ones holding the keys to EC's culture).
Military
EC's military is not so much a military, but an entire social class and even an entire species. The Cherubim, EC's warrior class/ species, make up about 9% of the population. They are born and raised for a single purpose: War.
As mentioned before, Cherubim face a hard, not to say brutal, training from the age of three on, preparing them for their future mission.
The training is basically continuing for their entire lifetime (Biologically speaking, a hundred years are possible, practically, the average is about 50 years), although combat deployment begins with the age of fifteen.
It might be noted that the tactics, as well as the strategy, used by the Cherubim is somewhat... Odd, in so far as their honour forbids them sneak attacks. One will rarely see Cherubim trying to get around a fortified position. One will usually see them storming in countless waves against them.
One might also note that for EC, and the Cherubim in particular, Civilians don't exist. Everything resisting, everything in ones way, and everything commiting a 'sin' in their eyes will be eradicated.
History
Distant History
According to the doctrine, God watched from the heavens as mankind developed, and he felt sorrow, for mankind had fallen to sin, following only its desires, desires of the flesh, and joining with the metahumans, leaving the path of righteousness as they joined with the metahumans, despite mankind being created in his image, after his likeness. And God wept.
However, there was hope, and God decided to send Metatron to Earth, in order to find a blessed people worthy of leading along the path of righteousness, so that one day, they would clean the sinful filth from the surface of earth.
And Metatron found this people, the people that would later become The National Zionist Empire of Endless Crimes.
And Metatron had angels descend from the heavens, the Seraphim, of which he was the highest, and the Cherubim, which were mighty and whose swords defeated the sin creeping up and trying to corrupt the people Metatron had come to rescue from the path that led to darkness.
And then Metatron erected the first stone of New Eden, and he founded the Empire.
In the years following this, from this ancient times up to today, many great deeds are said to have happened, great deeds done my Metatron and his Seraphim, his Cherubim, legends to be told to the people, for them to remain faithful in their mission, a mission that will one day succeed in turning the world into a paradise.
So far the official version. Foreigners will, of course, notice that this is nothing but a piece of fiction (Even though the commoners, as well as the Cherubim and the Seraphim themselves, believe it). Nonetheless, the origins of Endless Crimes are shrouded in mystery, since no one seems to actually understand it.
One of many theories floating around is that EC was, in fact, created by an ancient, extremely advanced civilization, as some sort of sociological experiment, this allowing for its relative high tech despite being a faithful, rather than rational, society, as well as for the (obvious) genemods, and this, eventually, offering an explanation as of how the populace is growing.
Recent History
Endless Crimes is surprisingly inactive on the international scene, the only events were it went active being the War in the Mediterranean against The Lowland Clans and Jace, the intervention in Iraqstan during an attempt of various nations to liberate Um Lizaa, and, most recently, its decision to take part in the invasion of St. Peter Claver, a Syskeyian island.
Species, Culture
Species
Seraphim are angelesque beings, genemods with feathered wings and a bioluminiscent forehead, with (limited) telepathic capabilities and a completely restructured body (lighter bones, additional muscles in the chest area). They are, in fact, believing that they are angels, and they are the ruling class, supposed to be the fathers of the common people, leading the way to paradise. They are quite capable of reaching an age of 110 years and more. It mnight be noted that the only hair they grow is on their head, the rest of their skin perfectly free of it. They are up to 220cm tall (Women smaller).
Cherubim are angelesque beings, just like the Seraphim, although smaller (Maximum is about 200cm). They are reowned for their rather massive, impressive beards (Although the rest of their skin is, like the skin of the Seraphim, perfectly free of it), and weight about as much as a Seraphim, despite being smaller.
Humans are, technically, the species the two aforementioned species/ castes are supposed to guard and lead, however, for all practical purposes, they are nothing but a slave race. The largest ones reach a height of about 180cm, and are, otherwise, quite normal, an industrial ressource.
The Fallen are, in fact, Elves, however, they do not believe that they are elves. Legend has it that they are, in fact, humans, cursed by the witch Sirithil to suffer from longlivity and pointy ears, and they have been accepted into EC's society, as a tiny subgroup, its advanced technology and quite impressive capacities supporting Metatrons mission, until the day Sirithil can be sacrificed, her still beating heart offered to God, thus ending the curse.
Reality is, of course, a little bit different. It is not known how the Elves in question lost their memory, ending up as this twisted, insane version of themselves, however, something must have happened. What, that is, so far, unknown.
Culture
Calling EC's culture odd would be a serious understatement. Although the basics are, quite simply, christian, the official ideology has nothing at all to do with said christian roots.
Religion is everything, it is the most basic, and most important part in the life of every citizen, no matter what caste he belongs to. Sacrifices, public praying, many churges and holy artifacts... It is all quite present in EC.
There are certain other oddities, though. For a theocratic society, the position of the women is surprisingly high up, basically equal with men. However, there are other things.
The main oddity is, doubtlessly, that sexual intercourse is, in fact, illegal, and punished by various means, all of them involving death (Of course, not every offending person (roughly 99% of the population) is found). It is rather obvious that a normal population can't grow under such conditions. And EC itself hasn't done anything to prevent a possible disaster.
However, its creators have. Unknown to the public, to EC, and, in fact, to the world, they prepared. The people of Endless crimes have special... Shrines, large ones, Shrines of Borth... Here, they children are born. Not in the conventional sense, of course. It is the industrial production of the castes. Cold, soulless machines producing what is necessary. The prayers of Metatron, he himself, like everyone else, a child of the machines, informing the machines about what is needed. More of one caste, less of another.
Soulless perfection for a faithful people. Of course, also vulnerable perfection. But still. Perfection.
Finally, it needs to be noted that many children are born, despite sexual intercourse being illegal. Hunting this children, children that are considered a threat to society as well as a sin, no, as daemons created to destroy the Empire, is considered an important and honourable trainign for the Cherubim.
Last but not least, it might be noted that due to the sheer oppressiveness of the system, the nation suffers from constant rebellions, and a significant part of the Cherubim is constantly busy with stopping them, this weakening the overall capacities of the Empire.
