Equa City

Founding

Equa City was, originally, the grounds for a mental asylum. However, since the patients broke free, it became a small village. Then a town. Then a city. Finally, it grew into the thriving metropolis. Equa City! Pearl of the Multiverse! As Equalitonia's enemies say, if you had to compare Equa City to anything, it would be a piece of grit surrounded by the excrement of a dying mollusc.

Industries

Equa City is well known for its haddock market, as well as its district of landfills, toxic waste plants and sewage treatment facilities. The city's motto, once "The meek shall inherit the Earth" is now "Smell the air, smell Equa City".

Cristobel Colon has long been renowned for his complete lack of moral fibre. Who introduced the landfill tax? Colon. Who (effectively) abolished maps, by making it s you could smell what street you were on? Colon. Who tried to ban jokes about their last name? Colon. His critics disregard this last one, saying that his last name suits him. Energising stuff goes in one end, and a load of ... rubbish comes out of the other end.

Culture

Many a song has been written about Equa City. For examle, the Equalitonian rock-star, Johnno Mega-Cool, composed the classic hits "Hell for the Sinus", "Corrupt yet Cool" and the unforgettable "Is this the exit from Equa City?".

Equa City has also featured in several Equally-Wood movies. These include "Escape from Equa City", "The Godforsaken Smell", "Planet of the Stench" and, of course, "Carry on Corrupting".
