Erne Casserne (pronounced airne cuh sairn) is a large freshwater body in the southeast of Costa Bravo, separating the country's mainland from the Isla de Muerte. The Casserne is divided into two general areas: the Lower Erne and the Upper Erne. It is fed into by the Casselbert River, which runs the perimeter of Costa Bravo. The Casserne borders Libya on two sides and Costa Bravo on the other two, and is informally considered "shared territory" by the two amiable countries, though Costa Bravo retains land rights to the area. Various ports line the Casserne, such as Slapton Sands and Halt.
