Esther Elohir (born 06 December 1980) is the current Underchancellor of Information for Morindira under Praetor Natolya M'Kai.

Before joining the M'Kai Administration, she was a professor of journalism & censorship at Framindol Academy where she served from 2001 - 2004.

Prior to her appointment in the Information Ministry, Elohir also served as the Isenian and East Haraad Affairs Advisor.

Early Life

Elohir was born in Valinskya. She is the only child of J'nette Elohir, and her husband, John Elohir. John was a guidance counselor at Valinskya Secondary School #113. J'nette was a science, music and oratory teacher at the same school.

Elohir started learning Quenya, music, figure skating and ballet at age three. At age 15, she began classes with the goal of becoming a concert pianist. Her plans changed when she realized that she did not play well enough to support herself through music alone. She said that her playing was "pretty good but not great", and that she did not have enough time to devote to practice. While Elohir is not a professional pianist, she still practices often and plays with a chamber music group.

Academic Career

Elohir was hired for her first academic position by Framindol Academy as an Assistant Professor in Journalism & Information. She was granted tenure and promoted, first to Associate Professor, and then to Provost, the chief budget and academic officer of the Acadeny, and finally full Professor. She was said to be quietly cerebral, friendly but decorous, and popular among students. Friends and co-workers often saw her exercising in the gym or practicing piano at in the school's concert hall.

Political Career

On 17 March, 2004, Elohir was picked to serve as Underchancellor of Information and stepped down from her position at Framindol. She has served in this position for two years.
